Grace Kennett Foundation is a non-governmental organization with a glorious 80 year history. Our work has saved the lives of thousands of victims of female infanticide and abandoned children.
Grace Kennett Foundation, Mazhalai Illam is a recognized Specialized Adoption Agency. Mazhalai Illam is a home for the victims of female infanticide/ abandoned, surrendered and orphaned children. On an average, we have about 40 infants.
The top three illegal trades in the world are arms,drugs and human trafficking.
Human trafficking makes slavery at the highest ever level in history today. The trafficked children are abused sold and resold and die within seven years.
Our responsibility is to provide safety nets and to strengthen the already existent systems in place.
Our 'Home for every child' operation helps orphaned, abandoned and surrendered children find new safe homes. Establishing the right of such children to life and the right to a family requires resources and participation from like minded people and organisations.
A thousand happy families have been built through adoption. If you need to have a garden, dig a well first. Our well is our hospital and our allied services. We address the physical, mental and social well being of the community and raise resources to pursue our lofty objectives.
