The cattle get used to being worked by helicopter just like on horseback. They pace themselves and know where to go when they hear the machine, A few need persuading now and again, but generally runs pretty easy and smooth.

Nothing is better than a good man or woman on a horse to gather and work cows. The choppers can hunt pigs and coyotes when we get the cows to the corral!

Long ago my family owned this land until the white man killed everyone who fought to keep it including women and children. The king Ranch also was taking back in the day, my grandfather had old microfilm paper showing proof he went to court numerous times. But since they had top notch lawyers my grandfather couldn’t afford to keep paying his lawyer. Till this day my grandfather talks about this. He said they had owned 3 counties from the Gulf of Mexico to San Antonio Texas but it was all taken.

I hate this kind of stuff, whether used on horses or cattle! Get out there on horseback and do it right, for pity sake, and if you HAVE to use choppers then use them as spotters, not mechanical cutting horses!

not true, most cattle mustering is done by atv, dirt bikes, and horses. Helicopters are only called in when needed because of how expensive they are.
