    Nice place ..i prefer the tbi over the tpi. The tbi remind me my old carb bike but with the modern 4 stroke linearity

      I am enjoying the TBI as well but don't underestimate a well tuned TPI bike, they are as good or better than stock TBI...

      Phil was riding his 2020 KTM 300 TPI in the video (and he likes it). Regarding bottom end power, my 2024 300 EXC TBI feels stronger than any TPI I've ridden. I find bikes with good bottom end power easier to ride, which is why I still like carb bikes too. Regarding mid/top power, any 300 (carb, TPI, or TBI) should have enough power if it's running right, although they do feel different.

    Great ride! Are you still running the 9MM clutch master cylinder?

    • @TokyoOffroad
      @TokyoOffroad  4 месяца назад

      Yes, 9mm Brembo clutch master. Quite a bit lighter than the stock 10mm master.

      @@TokyoOffroad Thanks for the reply, I take it you really like the 9 MM. I might go back to the 9MM

      @@onthethrottle7104 With the 9mm the lever travel and friction zone increases. I have fairly large hands so the travel increase is not a problem and I prefer the easier pull, especially during races. The friction zone increase is also good when working the clutch. I switched from 2 finger to one finger clutch operation a little over a year ago and one finger operation is much less tiring with 9mm. But for anyone with smaller hands I can see that they would probably not like it...

    Hello ! What gearing are you riding ?

      On my 2024 KTM 300 EXC TBI I use 13/50 gearing. For technical mountain terrain it feels good.
