    Mayan woman uses a backstrap loom to create colorful tapestries for sale outside the San Francisco Church in Antigua, Guatemala.
    The woman, who gave me full permission to record her (and yes, I bought a few items from her as well), stated that one tapestry can take up to 15 days to complete.

    so the red heddle is for every 2nd warp and the white heddle for every 4th i assume.
    but what do you do with the loose ends when a coloured pattern is finished?
