nice setup. I wonder how the single clamp compares to a double clamp setup. You could see you dropped some sticks as you were going along. Wonder if a double clamp grapple would hold things together better. Good video! Take care
Thanks man. As for the double vs single, I don’t know if it woulda had a huge difference on that loose brush only cuz driving passed those trees I broke a lot of them off and I didn’t quite have a full load to make it very tight so I’m not sure a double grapple woulda made a huge difference here. Where a double grapple would help more is when it comes to securing larger/heavier and awkward loads as you’ll have a clamp on each side of the un-even load vs just in the center with a single grapple so that would help to secure and stable your load much better than a single. That being said I do eventually plan on buying a second grapple this spring and trying it out so stay tuned!
Looks awesome. What I'd love to see is a pallet fork weight test. Get an IBC tote cage, and start filling with firewood. Then see how much of it the forks can lift about one foot off the ground (just enough to move it around). An IBC tote measures ~40" x 48", so those 36" forks should be fine with that narrow side. I wish I had one of those tote cages to try this out but will be doing lift tests in the near future with these forks. 40x45 is about the size of a normal pallet and 36” forks are more than plenty long enough for a heavy 40x40” pallet so id assume it would be just fine only question would be is how much the tractor can lift with it filled. I really like Artillian products for their versatility, the fact that you can arrange the grapple anywhere you want on the fork frame, and the fact that you can go from a single grapple to double or even Tripple grapple is really great. Also the bottom fork tines can be used separately with out the grapple needing to be in place and I also have their stump buckets as well which all fit on the exact same frame they call their fork frame. ARTILLIAN products are built super heavy duty with a great powder coat.. I sualt bend or break other products but with Artillian I havnt bent a single attachment yet. Pure quality and Versatility .. hope this helps!
If one is going to pick up standard (42x48) pallets, 42" forks are much better and probably don't weigh that much more. It's easy to break pallets & lose the load w/36" forks.
I agree that 36” forks are more likely to break a super heavy pallet but what you gotta figure is these little sub compact tractors and even compact tractors won’t ever pick up enough weight to where it would break the pallet anyways but I agree on larger equipment and utility tractors the shorter forks could be an issue as the lift capacity’s go up and pallets get heavier. Thanks for your input 👍🏻

What made you decide to go with the artillian?
Nice grapple and video but the music is overkill.
That's bad ass
Thanks man!
