    I'm a big fan of the Artillian platform! I've had mine over a year and the powder coat still looks new. I change the width of my forks often and no visible wear on the frame. Mine came with a moly or graphite strip at the top front of the frame to help the forks slide when you move them. Now I have grapple envy after watching...

    Got the grapple along with forks. Very happy and such a good match for the BX. And took it a step further for their articulating plow. Very nice indeed. Living in the Berkshires meant I was close enough to their facility to pick up so I avoided shipping costs. Like your channel very helpful with tractor things (like low power in reverse). Learned a lot from your series on bucket use. Did you ever do that pressure test at 3rd function valve? I’d use that spot since I have those ez off flat connectors at loader hitch ...

    nice setup. I wonder how the single clamp compares to a double clamp setup. You could see you dropped some sticks as you were going along. Wonder if a double clamp grapple would hold things together better. Good video! Take care

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  3 года назад +1

      Thanks man. As for the double vs single, I don’t know if it woulda had a huge difference on that loose brush only cuz driving passed those trees I broke a lot of them off and I didn’t quite have a full load to make it very tight so I’m not sure a double grapple woulda made a huge difference here. Where a double grapple would help more is when it comes to securing larger/heavier and awkward loads as you’ll have a clamp on each side of the un-even load vs just in the center with a single grapple so that would help to secure and stable your load much better than a single. That being said I do eventually plan on buying a second grapple this spring and trying it out so stay tuned!

  • @waynesheffield7011
    @waynesheffield7011 3 года назад

    Looks awesome.
    What I'd love to see is a pallet fork weight test. Get an IBC tote cage, and start filling with firewood. Then see how much of it the forks can lift about one foot off the ground (just enough to move it around). An IBC tote measures ~40" x 48", so those 36" forks should be fine with that narrow side. Guess that a weight isn't as necessary as a percentage of how much the tote can be filled up.

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  3 года назад

      I wish I had one of those tote cages to try this out but will be doing lift tests in the near future with these forks. 40x45 is about the size of a normal pallet and 36” forks are more than plenty long enough for a heavy 40x40” pallet so id assume it would be just fine only question would be is how much the tractor can lift with it filled. Thanks for watching!

    Word on the street is the Artillian grapple is a bit heavy for the BX. Doesn't
    leave you much room to pick things up. The JD is stronger then the BX so it works better on the 1025R.
    But it is a nice looking system. Great video again buddy.

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  3 года назад +1

      The Kubota bx does indeed have left lift abilities than a John Deere 1025r BUT that’s why I have increased my hydraulic pressure, my bx should easily be able to lift what a John Deere 1025r can now. I’ll be doing a comparison video soon of John Deere vs Kubota lift test.. sure Kubota turns their pressure way down from the factory which makes it left less but John Deere has their pressure much much higher stock which in my option is what makes that lift difference between John Deere and Kubota.. bring your pressure up to the same as John Deere and both should lift very close to the same.. this is my theory however but some day I’ll be testing this theory and hopefully with in the next month or so

    • @BiffsEquipment

I actually changed the fittings around a bit after installing the 3rd function kit, I changed the ends so that’s there was one male and one female on the end of the loader and when I picked up the Artillian grapple I changed the ends to the same summit ends cuz I liked them better. The Artillian grapple uses John Deere couplers so I wanted to keep all of like the same which are summit Kubota BX couplers. If you need a link to where I buy my couplers on eBay just let me know, I usually buy a 4 or 6 pack of males and females this way I’m

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  2 года назад

      I really like Artillian products for their versatility, the fact that you can arrange the grapple anywhere you want on the fork frame, and the fact that you can go from a single grapple to double or even Tripple grapple is really great. Also the bottom fork tines can be used separately with out the grapple needing to be in place and I also have their stump buckets as well which all fit on the exact same frame they call their fork frame. ARTILLIAN products are built super heavy duty with a great powder coat.. I sualt bend or break other products but with Artillian I havnt bent a single attachment yet. Pure quality and Versatility .. hope this helps!

    If one is going to pick up standard (42x48) pallets, 42" forks are much better and probably don't weigh that much more. It's easy to break pallets & lose the load w/36" forks.

    • @BiffsEquipment
      @BiffsEquipment  3 года назад +1

      I agree that 36” forks are more likely to break a super heavy pallet but what you gotta figure is these little sub compact tractors and even compact tractors won’t ever pick up enough weight to where it would break the pallet anyways but I agree on larger equipment and utility tractors the shorter forks could be an issue as the lift capacity’s go up and pallets get heavier. Thanks for your input 👍🏻
