God those puzzles are boring. At some point, I just started looking up the solutions, cuz I just wanted the game to end, hoping the story could fix it. But no. Story boring, Puzzles boring. I kinda liked the endings but the way to it wasn't worth it. I feel like I wasted a lot of time on searching for elements they put on unreasonable places or forgetting a core mechanic and spending lots of time for wired cheese strategies just to lose my cubes and to reset a level again. I feel like instead of creating this mass of puzzles they easily could have cut 50% out of it and instead making the Road Areas more interesting to explore. I mean... Puzzle Game and stuff - I get it. Maybe I'm just stupid but I would have appreciated a difficulty choice. Or a bit more meaningful story. Or a bit more meaningful environment.
Thanks for the guide, I'm using it to get the speedrun achievement. There has been a little change at 2:29:52. It's so minor I don't understand why they did it.
It has really nice graphics and possibly interesting story, but what's spoiling it for me is the tests are really kindy boring, without much soul(unlike Portal) and especially I think the problem is, that they are there just for the sake of them being there. There's some bad stuff happening yet you are still doing some test runs and they're just kinda nonsensical. Why would I want to do them?
The game explains this... The test tracks can't be shut down, so performing them is the only way to achieve the goals of the main character (getting power back online). She can't simply walk through because the test tracks are enabled. There is a lot of dialog around this in several parts of the game.
@@Kamel419 I get that, but that's just made-up plot to justify this stuff. It just feels like "in the beginning, the god created bunch of tests... and then, to lure you in and engage in them, he decided to build some plot around it, just so it doesn't feel so empty". That's how this feels to me.
@Maeros I got the same feeling. The game just became so boring. It reminded me of The Talos Principle, in that the puzzles are just there without a reason, but unlike Talos the puzzles are too basic. Nowhere near the intricacies of Portal or Talos.
Just finished the game today, exactly how I felt. Its like every puzzle just pop up without anything going on. And that's why Portal and Talos are the only few top-class puzzle games Cauz the puzzles and story are quite tied together.

I thought I was going to really like this game but it somehow ends up simply being tedious and unsatisfying. I think Portal has ruined everything by being too great.

The two Portal games got a great story and a very good direction but aren't challenging that much if you just want to reach the end. This game, like Talos Principle, got a weaker narrative but harder puzzles that need deeper reflexion.
@@thenateos I see where you are coming from but in my opinion, I feel that the levels felt a bit stretched out. I didn’t necessarily have a hard time coming up with the solution rather it was just taking a bit of time to execute it. 1:38:30 Well, that's the end of my (PC) game then - the block doesn't drop low enough to go down the chute, it hits the top rim then flops to the floor. Can't push it down the chute. Even tried setting the top plate to repel and the one down below to attract - nothing doing. Yes, tried resetting the level, verifying then restarting the game. Nada. Oh well, at least it was free. [EDIT] Found the problem... framerate too high, which was effecting how far/fast the blocks travel. Dropped it from 144 to 60 and worked fine.

1:14 I unfornately have a game breaking bug. That horizantal-sliding canyon wall will not move. I have restarded the map and restarted the game entirely, but the rock wall is frozen extended out, so I can't progress
Can't progress in the Jungle test track at 2:58:00, I'm doing the same exact thing as on the video, but the box won't get pulled towards the 3rd gravity plate
2:29 first time the walk throug does not match the puzzle for me. that button and bulls eye were not there. are there different versions of the puzzles? still got it
@@oleed8516 If you set up the cube at 25:00 and instead stand on it, switch off the zero gravity on that cube once you reached the top. Push it away by changing it's polarity and then once it touches the ground, switch on zero gravity. The ground is exactly perfect to ricochet the cube in an angle that goes towards the exit, and the zero gravity allows you to get the height you need.
In 22:40 I outplayed the game. I passed that part by finding a bug, But I feel dirty, so i came here to see the real solution, I was completely sure I didn't the right way and I'm feeling guilty LMAO
38:06 BUG REPORT: even if I jump I can't go past... Exit to home menu and retry doesn't help. * Config: 1920*1080 Windowed full screen Show FPS: yes Render scale: 100 Field of view: 115 Everything on Highest VSync: No PS: That's sad, I notice SEVERAL other bugs... (there are usually solved going to home menu and trying again)
I have noticed that you can not sprint jump. Contrary to what feels natural: if you sprint jump you jump less higher in this game. Could it be possible you were trying to sprint jump?
I have the same problem now. I tried several config changes. As mentioned below sprint jump and normal jump wouldn't work, too. Any resolution for this?
At 1:39:43 you can directly go up close to the exit door and grab the cube. You earn a lot of time ;) For the puzzle at 2:24:07, there is an other solution because you activate a lift up plate on the left. So you can go up alone and then jump on the floor to grab the cube and keep it with you on the "elevator". In the end you avoid all the manipulations and reaches the plate on 2:24:47 way faster.
dude the test that starts 1:30:50 that 3rd cube up there fucked with me so bad, i had 2 cubes available for a long time but the 3rd one messed with my head too much why did they have to put it there lol thats a big troll move.
1:34:50 That's when I uninstalled the game. If you fuck up and have drone inside the thing than it is almost impossible to get the door open again. This is just so untested and crap that I gave up. That I glitched through 2 other steps in this puzzle alone didn't help either.
Happened to me too but it's possible, just not easy. That's the only part that I felt was unfair but otherwise the game seems rather well tested for me
easy cake after the drone starts moving hit the cube, ground thingy, leviate than hit the same color as the box thing. you just need to be quick. they give you enough time.
2:49:02 Ah! Got stuck and was wondering how I'm supposed to solve it. Answer I can't. The magnetic pad in this shot (currently blue) isn't moving in my version ...

1:14 I unfornately have a game breaking bug. That horizantal-sliding canyon wall will not move. I have restarded the map and restarted the game entirely, but the rock wall is frozen extended out, so I can't progress
Had the Same issue, My fix was (After restart of course waiting in the Former room Before Entering That one
I love the love-hate chemistry between Angie and Laia.
Can't progress in the Jungle test track at 2:58:00, I'm doing the same exact thing as on the video, but the box won't get pulled towards the 3rd gravity plate
@YungKalach I found the solution for exactly this problem, go to setting and cap FPS to 30 or 60, then try again
31:17 this is for my benefit cause I'll be coming back to this video hope you don't mind carrot
2:29 first time the walk throug does not match the puzzle for me. that button and bulls eye were not there. are there different versions of the puzzles? still got it
This looks so easy! I'd never have the patience to play this game. But I enjoyed watching you👍
Your video helped me a lot with the speedrun trophy, and wow, that was impressive !
great guide. this game screwed me on the senior researcher achievement. i got them all and they didnt give it to me 😭😭
24:47 lol, didn't know about this cube here and I finished this part using only one cube
How?
@@oleed8516 If you set up the cube at 25:00 and instead stand on it, switch off the zero gravity on that cube once you reached the top. Push it away by changing it's polarity and then once it touches the ground, switch on zero gravity. The ground is exactly perfect to ricochet the cube in an angle that goes towards the exit, and the zero gravity allows you to get the height you need.
@@velix2835
> The ground is exactly perfect to ricochet
Hahahah I don't think that's part of the gameplay, but good find!!
@@nicobugs Cough totally not because i could not find the second cube
@@velix2835 I finished a few of them differently also
This guide works to obtain all achievements include dlc in Xbox ?
There's a guide for the base 1000 G's but you can check his playlist below to complete both DLCs
Thank you very much!!! 👍👍👍
In 22:40 I outplayed the game. I passed that part by finding a bug, But I feel dirty, so i came here to see the real solution, I was completely sure I didn't the right way and I'm feeling guilty LMAO
It took me 23h 12m. Worth it.
38:06 BUG REPORT: even if I jump I can't go past...
Exit to home menu and retry doesn't help.

PS: That's sad, I notice SEVERAL other bugs... (there are usually solved going to home menu and trying again)
You should contact the developers.
@@CarrotHelper I'll try to find a way to contact them yeah ... For now I leave it here so I see if I'm the only one or not.
They ask to contact via Discord

I have noticed that you can not sprint jump. Contrary to what feels natural: if you sprint jump you jump less higher in this game. Could it be possible you were trying to sprint jump?
I have the same problem now. I tried several config changes. As mentioned below sprint jump and normal jump wouldn't work, too. Any resolution for this?
How are you making the omega cube float at 1:49:50?
Use the cube without gravity and should work.
At 1:39:43 you can directly go up close to the exit door and grab the cube. You earn a lot of time ;)
For the puzzle at 2:24:07, there is an other solution because you activate a lift up plate on the left.

How on earth do you get the trophy. Complete the game under 6 hours.? That's the only trophy I need. 😢😥😩😫
27:45 Im so dumb, i already figured it out almost all of it but then i forgot that you can adjust the cubes when they go inside smh
36:52 lol i found a bug that can put the block directly in the upper magnet just stick to the wall and press w
That's the only part that I felt was unfair but otherwise the game seems rather well tested for me
I did the same thing. At least you can go back to main menu and reenter the game to replay this section again.
easy cake after the drone starts moving hit the cube, ground thingy, leviate than hit the same color as the box thing. you just need to be quick. they give you enough time.
@@michawujak2762 there is a reset button 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
@@WaifuWisdomShorts I know, but never used it and didn't know if it will move me to begining of the level. Anyway, the outcome was the same, so?
is it possible to get same speed (speedrun achievement) on Series X ? i'm using controller.
My dumbass couldn't make it past literally the third puzzle
i will say i donr like some pf the puzzles i would rate this game an 7
ok im on pc my left glove is not working and im stuck cant get it across
dude your video helped me out so much especially during the last puzzle but these puzzles suck
Story is interesting but puzzles was boring.
ok so at 28:03 mine is not passing thru the purple grid?
Ty so much for this video! I completed It in 5 h and 17 Min watching you, omg
3:27 was so cute!
24:06
i somehow succeeded to pass it without the 3rd block
thanks, I didn’t know many levels, but I downloaded the current game
Its now free on Xbox with GwG
the puzzle at 23:38 is crap
2:49:02 Ah! Got stuck and was wondering how I'm supposed to solve it. Answer I can't. The magnetic pad in this shot (currently blue) isn't moving in my version ...
Got the same pffff
@MrMegaPussyPlayer I found the solution for exactly this problem, go to setting and cap FPS to 30 or 60, then try again
1:14:12 instead pressing blue, press red, rest on sand, pres red twice fast, you will slowly travel up.
The wall isn't moving for me. Any tips?
👍
Does pausing the game stop the timer for the speedrun achievement?
Does it?
@@polishingplatinums Pausing the game stops the timer for the achievment yeah. I spent way over 10 hours afk in pause menu and still got trophy
Thanks for this guide. You seem to like puzzle games, have you tried Antichamber? This is a true masterpiece (at least my favorite all time).
Thanks, yes I know this game. Added to the to-do list.
@@CarrotHelper this is one of the new games on psn now for March and it looked dope so I had to download it
