This is because of his background in the bhajans sampradayam. His musical training is also excellent. A rare combination. I hope he trains several youngsters to keep the tradition going. He should train as many students as his schedules permit. I am lucky to have the opportunity to listen to him on RUclips!!!

Annamayya and Purandaradasa lived during same period and their songs resemble similar thinking. I read somewhere that Purandara met Annamayya in Tirupati and wrote Venkatachalanilayam on that occasion. Udayalur's rendition of this song is one of the best.
