They did until the Chevron decision was overturned by the supreme Court a few weeks ago changing the precedent that they as a court and the individuals that overturned it have had for around the last 40 years. What it was in a nutshell is that when a law was passed by Congress, something that wasn't clearly spelled out yet was included federal agencies were allowed to make a rule relating to it and judges would give preference to their expertise. People and companies were still allowed to challenge their rules. Good or bad, it being overturned was described by a lawyer as if all legal briefs have to be filed in Latin now. It is something that people like you and me are mostly going to be unaffected by, but is going to be extremely difficult for anyone involved in it. The new rule that they set is that the judge gets to make the decision without consulting an expert of any kind. Kinda terrifying when you realize that one of the judges who made this change got CO2 and a similar named greenhouse gas confused in a recent ruling repeatedly. Now we don't have a foundation to look at but rather it just comes down to the what judge you get.
@u.s.inteconadvisorygrouplt2668I can explain it easily. The ATF made a law and then they are attempting to enforce it. An executive agency doesn’t have the power to make law and there is no statute law deeming FRT triggers illegal.

It is a seizure if they take it by force.. if they somehow convince you to hand them the guns it is not a seizure and that is why they approach like that.
Possession of illegal weapon modifications is certainly a crime. If I were the ATF agents, I'd find a judge, get a search warrant and search this dude's property EXTREMELY thoroughly. I guess, if they find something, he'd be in trouble. And rightfully so.

Those things are hard, though. It's easier and more lucrative to harass tax-paying citizens. The US Constitution states TWICE that "no ex post facto laws shall be passed", which are laws passed after the fact of some type of event that affect the said prior event. So after the fact of this gentleman purchasing the said FTR trigger, a law may have been passed against them, but his prior purchases and his subsequent ownership of cannot be made illegal by such a law that comes along later. Congress could make them illegal to buy after that date, but just not apply their prior purchase or the ownership in consequence of such prior purchase. It was King George who was famous for imposing crimes on American citizens for things they had done while the things were considered by all to be legal. So by King George passing ex post facto laws, Americans would wake up one day and find out they were now considered criminals by the Crown, for crimes that weren't considered crimes when they were done. So what we did is, ... we went to war with England. And we put this ex post facto practice into our Constitution as a mandate to the Congress and then another one just like it to the States. No ex post facto laws shall be passed federally by Congress or by any states. They have no right to take them away and are in a position only to ask. Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3. No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed. Article 1, Section 10, Clause 1. It is always best to not answer questions and instead allow legal council to speak on your behalf.
As for your extremely minimizing view on the state of our law enforcement, I challenge you to look into the why of these cases instead of accepting the lies the media spreads. Watch the bodycam footage and try to decide for yourself what you would have done in those officers shoes. Agencies DO "make their own rules." Congress delegates authority, via statute, to an executive branch agency to do just exactly that... to promulgate rules that implement and enforce the will of Congress as expressed in the statute.
The Loper Bright (aka "Chevron Deference") decision seeks to claw back to the judicial branch the "final say" decision-making authority vis-a-vis statutory intent -- nothing else -- where statutory ambiguity has provoked challenges to agency actions.

Nobody voted for all these people who regulate our lives.
The firearm isn't illegal, it's just the trigger he allegedly bought for the firearm. That's why they want the FRT. They don't want the whole gun, but if the FRT is installed on it, I'm sure they'd take the whole thing and not give him a chance to put the original trigger back on. Also, those FRTs are about $300 each. If the ATF wants them, they'd better be paying me the money back if they were purchased legally.
@@BarnstormingProd Yeah but in the video the lady stated "The ATF has classified FRT's as machine guns" which would imply the trigger itself is a fully operational firearm
Man knows his rights, which is more than the ATF can say
I thought the Chevron Deference decision was supposed to have stripped the ATF of the ability to arbitrarily reclassify things without any form of judicial or congressional due process
No, what it does is simply remove the automatic deference the courts give to state agencies during the appeals process. Instead of initially presuming the regulator has the correct interpretation and allowing it to continue enforcing according to that interpretation during appeals, the appellant can now request the judge suspend enforcement pending outcome of litigation and likely get it
It sounds like it's not a huge difference, but remember that these cases take years to get fully resolved, possibly a decade, and on one hand means a company can save millions or billions in regulatory savings in that time, but also a company can get away with a lot of pollution in that time too
Never give cops what they want ever!! Wow
Always lying! When did a piece of metal become evil? Never heard of that before.
😂😂😂😂
she actually said illegal, but the cc read evil
They both need chloroform masks
Or Ketamine injections
I love how the guy worded his answers, never acknowledging anything about the trigger.
I'm the ATF I'm here to steal from you. you're right and what you would purchased lawfully.
The ATF can't designate anything legal or illegal. That is the job of congress!
He's right in this case.. they can't confiscate anything without a warrant.
No warrant? No arrest? No help, whatsoever.
Look at his little Fisher price “my first plate carrier” it’s so adorable. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
That's why they're being so nice about it because they know they're doing wrong by their fellow Patriots this is the beginning of the assault know your rights people
that dude knew who he was dealing with he actually kicked rocks as soon as that woman opened her mouth
Assuming that these are actually ATF. They look like phonies.
@u.s.inteconadvisorygrouplt2668 Ok I told u what u were in a comment that I now deleted because I realised this was probably a sarcastic joke.
Looks like a gym douche wearing Babie's First Police Vest.
Old video but it still cracks me up. The chick is literally using an AR500 steal target as a plate. You can obviously see the tabs used for hanging it.
LOL
No way! Lol thats hilarious!!! Good eyes man!
Love people who pay very close attention to the words being spoken by the person and choosing to assume nothing. 👏👏👏
And now the ATF is in trouble because they have to return all the ones they illegally confiscated
No way in hell that happens. They confiscate cash and say they can’t give it back because it immediately went to some other government agency and then they get their kickback after. Anything they confiscate (or steal) is unlikely to be returned. From money to guns to children. Lack of visible ID shows it’s intended to scare and confuse. I would like to know how many weapons were “confiscated” and how many illegally taken weapons were returned to the owners. And it should be illegal to not have a warrant. Lots of thugs at the door could be intimidating. Add the fact they are allowed to lie.
"They're Evil"....WTF?!?!?!
Yeah, I was caught off guard by that lol. Like, the government decides law, not morality. Wow.
She says illegal. Caption is wrong
@@Dragonfire1321
Listen again. Don't rely on the deceptive captioning.
@@TK-sz6nj She said "evil." Clean out your ears. I was a professional transcriptionist for a law firm. There are also nimrods who think that Trump says "bigly," which isn't even a word. He actually says "big league," as opposed to something being only minor league.
As an outsider it looks like he may have done the lawful thing by registering these FTR triggers (I have no idea what they are). If they didn't get registered how would they know he had any of them? If he did register them and they are now illegal then they should easily be able to get a warrant. Seems kind of BS to have something legal be declared illegal. Seems like you would be grandfathered .
Not registered. This is a case of the seller of the triggers sharing thier sales records with the ATF
Or credit card company @@ecrist
Everyone’s purchases are tracked. Everything from bread to firearms. That’s why you have all those “rewards” cards piled up in your wallet
This guy handled those crooks like a boss
You are under 0% obligation to open the door. If they had A warrant they would not ask.
bingo. they just force entry it.
This actually infringes upon the 2nd Amendment. ATF is unconstitutional 99% of the time.
100%
The Constitution SAYS the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
@u.s.inteconadvisorygrouplt2668 um... the 2nd Amendment is there to protect the citizenry from tyrannical leadership. The founding forefathers put it in there to allow the regular people to have those same means of defense. If it's something only the people in power can control, that leads to corruption and abuse of said powers. It's also why the governing body is broken up into a 3-part system for checks and balances... something else that's been getting corrupted over time by those in power... so, yeah, I know what I'm talking about because I got educated about our country's hostory.
@u.s.inteconadvisorygrouplt2668 You are "incorrect". Everyone has the ability to make that determination. "We the People" are responsible for TELLING THEM what rights we want. The #1 job of Government for "free people" is to protect liberty, not lead an assault on it.
“The triggers are evil”
No warrant hit the road bye bye. Gestopo.
3 letter agencies need to understand why only 1 finger is our favorite finger and these idiots need to understand why.
Is that your trigger finger or the triggering finger?
So they violated the 4th amendment
Explain please
And they are creating laws outside of the legislation process.
@@keithomilak3693Illegal search and seizure. That's what the 4th protects against. Pretty self explanatory.

"they're evil". Lol what?!
Totally unconstitutional
Recent scotus ruling
Only legislation can create law and classification is not law...
The fact they know you bought something means they have illegally and unconditionally keeping lists...
ATF needs to learn they don't make laws they don't have the right to make laws
He shut them up real quick..with knowledge they don't have ...
This guy knows how to deal with authority, he's respectful, he's calm he's cool and he answers in a way that will not incriminate him or escalate the situation. CAN YOU SMELL THE BS
It's totally looks like I've said before disband these 3 letter agencies and we all need to band together to hold up our constitution and take our country back I remember all the murders and imprisonment of the people that have been wronged by these agencies
"You know they're evil." she said. Surely, she's talking about AFT agents and other gun grabbers!
She actually says "illegal", the text to speech says 'evil'.
@@snow3017 Correct you are, thank you.
@u.s.inteconadvisorygrouplt2668 But they're NOT enforcing the LAW!! They're illegally attempting to violate his rights over a policy rule the created out of thin air! They are usurping authority they do not have and were never granted by law.
How are these people spy on what someone brought. And to take property belongings to a citizen.
She's wearing an AR500 target plate in her vest, not an actual bulletproof armor plate.
People actually believe this is real.
That's the real crime here l. What type of fake body armour are they wearing. Where is the ATF logo and identifiers? They are not ATF.
Thank god there is someone else in these comments with a working brain. I scrolled for a while before I saw your comment. This is 100% fake. No fed or cop dresses like that or acts the flagrant. It's silly to watch.
Everyone else lapped this BS up the minute they saw the title. Bunch of sheep.
No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.
