Loctician here☺️ , the reason you have bunching is because of the amount of tension or lack of tension in the braid or twist,. The less tension the more bunching, and especially if the hair gets wet. The hair shaft will open and expand. And You will notice your locks will shrink and get more compact and full as they mature and lots more Volume!
I wondered how someone was able to maintain that style with small children or a baby. This is fascinating. Your hair is gorgeous. Now I see it takes patience.
Hello....I am newbie here...Can you please share the loc tool. I have traditional larger locs and started taking them down (for the 2nd time) they just still to big. I would love to try this on my hair. Thanks in advance and thanks for sharing.
My god your hair is soooo gorgeous. I have microlocs that I started with braids and all I can say is be gentle with your hair. I have repaired every last one of my locs over the past two years due to my negligence. Do not let yourself get lazy or impatient. Trust the process and continue to take care
Your locs are gorgeous I am getting ready to loc mine I want small to medium ones. Love all your prior videos had not seen you in a few years until recently you have had 2 beautiful baby girls congrats, glad to see you back ALWAYS enjoyed you styling your hair!
Thank you so much!! I took a RUclips break, it was unintentional time just flew by and I was focused on so many other things. For me, I have to be pretty intentional about making time for recording and editing.
I applaud you for your patience with a newborn and a toddler. Well done God bless. I am doing my research for locking my hair. Why did you go for this method instead of locking the all strand? Having watched your four videos, it seems to me that your method will work best for me as I live in France and can't find a locktician specialised in sisterlocks. Once again Bravo, I am impressed 😍
I didn't loc the entire loc because at the time I was probably around 34 weeks pregnant. I did not want to go into labor with unfinished hair😭 because for my length, my toddler, and my husband It probably would have taken 2/3 months.
I just love your microlocs, they are just soo beautiful and full! What are ur moisturizing techniques that you do for ur locs maintenance? Do you have any frizz problems when u do so? I just love it when I see ur name pop up for new videos I get so excited 😆 Ur kids are beautiful. Ik how it is trying to do ur hair when u have children who always need attention.. I know I always set goals on how long I want to do my hair, but it always takes longer so I feel ur pain!lol
Hi, yes I have frizz. But remember frizzing is apart of the process. I have more frizz in the crown. I use distilled water and almond oil to moisturize. I only use oil for moisture like 2/3 times a month. Some people are against oil on locs but I'm not. The oil along with distilled water keeps my hair from drying out.
You inspired me to start mine and now I'm a few days in and so excited 💃 I'm kinda dreading my first wash for some reason, guess ik scared itd mess up my locs but hey, let's see how it goes
Have you considered going to a loctician who specializes in microloc, interlocks or sisterlocs to have them retighten? It would be done so much faster. I'm not sure how much they would charge as prices vary. I self retie most of the time however when I go to my loctician she charges $80 and is done in 2 hrs. After quarantine I'm going back to her periodically.
Beautiful baby! Your locs are beautiful. I commend you for doing your own hair. I retightened my Sisterlocks during the salon closures. I am happy to be back with my consultant. I am also documenting my journey on RUclips. I look forward to more of your content. #newsubscriber
I don't use anything other than almond oil 2x every 6 weeks or so but my hair is feeling a bit dry. I may start doing it weekly. But I'll start thinking about doing a video on that soon. Thx
Superb!!! New subbie here. I am so close to installing micro locs myself but i have a lot of greys...what do you think about coloring microlocs? I read that for the first 6 months , it is not recommended to colour locs , not sure why.
I dye my Grey’s every 4-6 weeks for my retightenings. I don’t see the problem. Are you trying to dye your entire head after you loc? Or just touch ups like I do?
I know this is an old video, but how did the postpartum shedding affect your locs if any? I’m almost two months postpartum and have been thinking bout doing this but when I️ was talking to a loc consultant she told me I️ should wait to see if I️ had postpartum shedding
Hi, I already knew how my hair would react and "shed" because it was my second baby. I don't get a lot of shedding because I don't get that much growth during pregnancy. I did have horrible dandruff though. But I was advised to wait. I was impatient and knew once the baby came I wouldn't have the time.
I'm really not that into hair anymore, in particular long hair on myself. Its a lot of work and I'd rather spend that time with my girls and focus on growing their hair. This was the only low maintenance style I could find plus I love locs in general. This style was perfect for me.
Baby Kennedy is sooo cute!! Also your hair is progressing nicely.
Thank you!!
They have definitely thicken up since your install. They are looking really good!
I think so too!
I smiled throughout this whole video. I love your locs!
Congratulations on the new baby! I love your new locs, it will be fun to watch the journey 😃
Yes! Thank you!

Your locs are so beautiful. And yes self maintaining is a lot. But when its done. Its All worth it

I wondered how someone was able to maintain that style with small children or a baby. This is fascinating. Your hair is gorgeous. Now I see it takes patience.
Thank you so much! Lots of patience.
I love locs 😍😍 the way my personality is set I don’t hv the patience for locs that tiny😩
Your locs are so nice! I’m two months in and I’m experiencing so much frizz 😩... but I’ve embrace it 🙂.

You got this!
Thank you for sharing with us. What interlocking tool do you use? I didn’t see the link for it.

Thank you so much!! and fyi I hate doing my own hair😩 I think I would enjoy it more if my kids wasn't so needy and little. lol
mstanish1 😂😂 they won’t be needy and little forever and they will rise up and bless you. Believe me, a mother of 5(ages 42-26). ❤️
You did a wonderful job, with 2 children.
Beautiful. I am 7 months in. Where did you get the tool?
It called the o locker size micro mini by Oraje. I may have spelled that wrong but just google it.
Awww what a beautiful baby!!
Very pretty!
They look great!
Can you, when you have the time, upload what you use to moisturize your hair? It would mean a lot

What beautiful locs you have. Do you install locs for others?
No I do not. It’s a lot of work and my kids are small and needy.
At four months your hair looks so perfect where frizz is concerned. What did you do to minimize frizz?
Its frizzy. Especially now after 19 months loc’d
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️beautiful baby!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your locs are beautiful, what size are they?
I know every song in this video. Beautiful 👶. Mom life
Wow 😁😍😍😍You go girl🤗
Love your locs, did you braid or twist your hair?
Twists
So beautiful, did u start with 2 strands or interlock?

@@mstanish1 that’s my problem ! I’m inpatiant and life is already hectic with baby 😩😩😩 I️ barely have time to wash and detangle
Why did you decide to get micro locs?. Your hair is gorgeous by the way

When you say napping ut sounds like nappy. I was like huh?
Did you ever count how many locs you have ? ❤️
I have 520 locs. But remember smaller is not better. I'm currently having a bit of postpartum shedding around my edges 😭😭😭😭😭
I have 550 but yours looks much smaller. Wow. And that’s good to know 👀🥺
Gorgeous honey yes love that lipstick
Beautiful 😍
To defeat the lint...No product... Just spray water! Satin scarves or Satin Caps to cover! Dry hair with a TSHIRT wrap up
How often do you do your reties?
6-7 weeks
How often do you retight them?
Every 6 weeks.
Did u check how many locs u have?
Yes, a few got combined but about 515ish... lost some edges😒
I want this but i have no patience 🥴 lol
