One of my forever favorites. One of the most instructional aspects ( to me), is the first min or so his complete focus on- his sound. Fascinating how his contemporary and peer Tal played so similarly, and sounded completely different- even when playing similar lines. Ty. Any JR clips are gifts.
Is it really the fusion guitar player Scott Henderson who played with Chick Corea? It must be another Scott Henderson. Probably a student at the Summer Jazz Workshops.

Grande de la guitarra, Jimmy Raney, el maestro.
Fantastic!
Hope there are other clips to be published from that clinic, besides this one and It Could Happen To You!

Jimmy was out-volumed. There was no need to play that loud in this situation; no drums, no cocktail glasses clinking, no reason!
