Modern China and ancient epic China shown in legends are certainly different. In many ways - dramatically. However, while being there, I could not stop thinking about what its ancient culture, rich and beautiful ... The film is devoid of any specific legend or a particular story . It was based only on my feelings , it's probably my author's style . In this way all the my films of series " My fairyland " were created - " Russian Fairy Tale" , "Legends of Russia », "Beautiful Morocco", "Northern Fantasy". This is my inner experience, which, although is the result of a deep dive into these cultures still primarily built on a sincere and personal feeling...

Он строится только на моих ощущениях, это, наверное, мой авторский стиль. Так создавались все фильмы цикла «Моя волшебная страна» - «Русская Сказка», «Легенды Руси», "Beautiful Morocco", «Северная Фантазия». Amazing! As Americans, we typically limit our perspective of history to the 200 years our country has existed. A building 50 years old is considered historical to us. It isn't until someone like you shows us how little time 200 years is that we realize how rich history truly is. Buildings hundreds or even thousands of years old. People from thousands of years in the past come to life, as well as their struggles and triumphs. You do this by the simplest of mediums, sand, which itself is millions of years old. Once it was part of mountains, but through time, wind and rain has turned it into the substance you use to tell your stories. Thank you for what you do and the passion with which you do it.

Sand artists never cease to amaze me and Kseniya Simonova is about as good as it gets. A very rare talent indeed and one that I never tire of watching.
At first it pained me to see how each layer of beauty was masked by the next layer. Then I realized how much it is a metaphor for the impermanence of life. We often only see what's now and are blind to all the beauty that came before. Thank you for the reminder and for sharing your gift with us.
