I went from xs max to 13 pro max. If you don’t need the latest and greatest, I can absolutely recommend the xs max. It’s still a beast. Still after three years I haven’t had one thing to complain about.
I appreciate that iOS is still perfectly smooth on a 3.5 year old flagship and will continue to be for a while. Aside from being a split second slower than the 13 Pro Max, the XS Max held its own far better than what I expected. Even games are completely silky smooth on it. As someone from the android side for a long time, this is genuinely impressive.
It's not really that , I think, we all know apple chips are way too powerful, so that extra power that the majority don't use , apple just slows that down, not sure just saying

i bought the XS max when it first came out and still using it. Absolutely no issues and even after all these years, i haven't experienced any slowdown, stuttering, or glitch. My battery health is 89% and I can easily go a full day of use without charging and still have 10-5% when going to bed.
Dang those benchmark scores… Only down about 500 single core and 2000 multi core for a 3 year old Apple chip. Keep in mind the 13 Pro Max has an extra GPU core vs the 13 Pro. That just shows WHY the XS Max is so quick and fast-the A12 was a state of the art chip in the entire world when it launched.
I just got the iPhone XS Max refurbished a few months ago for $400. 512gb storage and 100% battery health, works great! I’m not a gamer and don’t take a lot of night photos so it’s great for what I use it for, very happy!
Just sold my iphone 12 Pro Max a few weeks ago and bought XS Max 256GB because of… money😁. I’m gonna use this phone for a year now and then buy an iphone 14 Pro Max. This phone will do just fine for 1+ year.
Yeah because 13 Pro Max has stainless steel and design of Iphone 4! :) That's why I recommend Blackshark 4 or Xiaomi 11T Pro 12 GB 256 GB variant one, Xiaomi 12 lineups are coming in march of 2022 and I'am so hyped because it will be out earlier than Iphone 14 Pro Max and MiUI 13 will be in the box! New android phones are considered as very light phones compared to new Iphones
@@WololoWololo2 i’m sure those are great phones but i’m in the walled garden of ios. Macbook Air, iPad Pro 10,5 2017, AirPods and the whole family has iPhones. It wouldn’t make any sense to go to android now. I used to own Nexus and Galaxy devices, but if i would buy and android device, only Pixel or Galaxy S devices for us in Europe that is what makes sense.
The cost of the newer phone just isn’t worth it. The XS Max still performs very well and for the majority of users day to day without the newer 13 pro max side by side they wouldn’t notice the difference. It is as you say the pro motion display would be noticeable but I can wait a second or two for apps to load no problem and the best part… the price of the XS max is costing me £0 vs £1049 for the 128gb spec 13 pro max. Great video. Thanks for helping me to keep my XS Max because that Apple marketing always gets me tempted! :P
If you appreciate much better battery and 120Hz screen then absolutely, i’m shocked how much battery health is worse on my XS Max after 12 Pro Max is but still useable for one day. Screen is another deal all together, once you 120Hz its hard to go back.
@@joerobinnettebiden4723 Just barely, better battery life is always welcomed. For some people 13 Pro Max is a 2 day phone. Better battery less charge, less charging your battery lasts longer.

I think since the video is in 60fps that it’s much easier to see the difference between the displays refresh rates. The 13 Pro Max looks much smoother.
I had the 8 plus for 4 years got a pre owned Xs Max in great condition I love it I don’t upgrade every year I see no point in another 4 years I’ll upgrade to the 13 pro max once it’s cheaper

For someone like me who used both phone. I’ll give kudos to iphone 13 pro max. Mannnn. The battery is absolutely beast!!! I’m not heavy user. It could handle my daily task well. Mostly it held up for 2 days unlike my xs max gosh the battery life is awful i have to charge it like 3 times a day if im on cellular mode and 2 times if only using wifi.
Gotten my mom her very first iphone which is the xs max 512gb for that price no other android gives 512gb option plus she’s coming frm a vivo y11 32gb version so yea a huge update n the most premium phone she ever gotten 😂

@@thanos1229 for about RM 1800 for 100% battery health with 1 year warranty. Got it on 2020 so the model is pushing 4 years old but no hiccups so far. Only that it was dropped once n a small part of the oled doesn’t work anymore (doesn’t respond to touch) otherwise no complaints. My mom still daily drives it
This video confirms my observation. Apple actually slows down its smartphones over the updates. The Samsung S10 Plus is today faster than the Xs Max and neck and neck to the 12 Pro Max. However, when they were released, the Xs Max crushed the competition from smartphones with Snapdragon 855, today we have the impression that there is a 2-year gap between the Xs and the S10🤦🏽♂️.

There is no point of upgrading from xs max to iPhone 13 for regular day to day use, except for cameras.
Yes the cameras are the major difference that you will really notice and the battery life

err.. actually both the 13 pro max and the 13 pro have a 5 core GPU. it's the regular 13 and the 13 mini that have a 4 core GPU.
