So, based on this review I just went insane and bought every physical product currently available in the Fallout 2d20 line.

Be sure to let Modiphius Entertainment know! You'd be shocked at how publishers don't know what sparks their sales. :) ~ Jeff

Same!!! I need this book in my life. I just convinced my uncle to GM a fallout game for us. Praying he comes through lol.

I haven't played a Fallout game since the first one back in the 90s, but I've always been a sucker for post-apocalyptic settings, especially satirical ones. I should probably try this.

I bought it during the release (or prior?) and haven’t started to read the book until March this year so it was nice to have the review now from you Jeff. Impeccable timing! 😅

I'm surprised it wasn't a d100 system with how granular it could have been

I believe the thing people find unintuitive about the 2d20 system is the idea of wanting to roll low. I think the basic system is pretty good, tbh, though my only experience with it is through their Conan game, though I also have Dune and would like to play STA sometime.

DnD dice but GURPS "roll under" mechanics throws me off at first

Very cool! Just curious if there is a table in there for the hit locations, or would you have to buy Their dice?

Didn't see it in this core rulebook, but I saw it during his review of the Starter Box at page 26 of the Rules Booklet (12:27 of his video of the Box)

Here is the d20 conversion table provided at that page:

      3-8 Torso
      9-11 Left arm
      12-14 Right arm
      15-17 Left leg
      18-20 Right leg

Sadly any Fallout related product will be based on BGS canon and this TTRPG is no exception, which means we have all of BGS awful retcon and shallow understanding of the setting. It's too bad because Mophidiüs makes good product and the 2D20 system is quite robust and interesting.
