Lucky her. The cushion reaches nearly to her knee. I'm 5'11 and it hits me in the mid calf, cutting in, leaving a 1 inch bruise on my legs. I'm going to have to make some kind of cushion. Anyway I'm about 30 minutes into my learning curve and now I can roll all the way across the living room without running into any walls. Soon I'll be ready for the parking lot. This is fun!
you guys need to set up a user forum so people can trade experiences. I have about three hours on mine now. Riding around the neighborhood easilly, getting started is easilly the hardest. My inner shisa are also pretty beat up from getting started, Sorells are helping with that, softer padding at top would be good in the beginning. I'm amazed how many people want to talk to me about it
@InventistInc YA! I've got about 20 miles under my belt now. I find that if I use tall hiking boots I'm a lot more comfortable. The boots stabilize the solowheel and they give more cushion to my legs, preventing bruises. I wish the steps were bigger. I wear 10.5 wide shoes so only about 3/4 of my foot is on the steps. The boots have a stiff sole so I'm more comfortable there as well. It's amazing how many people ask me what I'm riding. I'm like a rolling billboard for you guys.
Inventist, by coming up a dicycle , 2-wheeled version of solowheel, suggests to me that they have realised the difficulty of people mastering the solowheel due to the sideway balancing difficulty. The Q3 dicycle is an improvement over solowheel as it balances the sideways. But it is a much heavier gadget now. The weight is whats gonna kill the Q3 from success. Solowheel is meant for the lazy unicyclists.
