I remember when I was first starting, I had the intro to One nailed and one of my friends asked for a video. I sat there for an hour trying to get it but kept messing up to the point where I was about to throw my guitar out the window. Finally I get it right, and guess what? Storage full, stopped recording halfway through :)))

Playing badly is easy, thats why its bad. If you have any measure of skill in anything then doing it badly is easy
Not at all. It takes a conscious effort to turn off the things you've worked for years to make automatic in regards to your playing.
I've played the violin for over 10 years. My muscle memory compells my fingers to play in the correct places but if I want to I can just simply play bad. Again, playing badly is EASY because you have played bad before, it isn't straining to play bad its actually kind of fun. Same thing as walking, I have walked my entire life but I can just as easily walk terribly than easily

learn the song more before you attempt recording.. I was stuck on that as well, but mostly the "can't quite nail it" I used to spend hours trying to record one song.. but I realised it's practice the FUCK out of it first, and yes that may even take up to a year in time.. depends on the complexity of what your playing ( I recommend learning a lot of different songs at once and jump between practicing them as you get bored with one, and you should be a pro at all of them in about 6 months) btw ive been playing for 10 years and I've been pretty terrible my whole life so yeah.

I just practice a song I think is cool, learn the intro and stop there because the rest of the song is boring to play and I can't memorize the solo. And then I forget the intros too in a couple weeks. xD

hYpYz every song she plays is way too fast. some songs she doesn't even play the right chords. plus, her boobs are probably the worst. she puts makeup on them so they appear bigger, pushes them up to appear bigger, wears too much makeup, and over exposes her videos so her skin appears to glow and look flawless. I thought I had low standards lol. don't fall for fake girls.
hYpYz if I wanna relax I'll throw on some Eric Johnson or something. but yeah, it just upsets me that a girl who's average at guitar and singing overshadows thousands of great guitarists, who deserve recognition for their hard work and dedication more than she does. I've met people who absolutely shred up a guitar and barely are able to pay bills, yet she's far less talented yet earned enough money to pay for her college. just doesn't seem right to me.

The "Can't quite nail it" bit is a little TOO real. lol As soon as you hit record, it's like you slowly learn how to un-play the guitar.
It’s crazy isn’t it? It happens to me almost every time I try to record demos of original songs. I’ll play them just fine, but as soon as I start recording, it takes several takes because I keep making simple mistakes.
Thank you for always cutting straight to the video, not ever having some crap intro with giveaways or something like other youtubers. I’m sure everyone appreciates it man. Keep it up! These videos are always awesome! 🤘⚡️

I used to have that problem and still do slightly. My solution was to not record in "takes"- I just set my phone down to record and forget it's there and jam until I get a good take. This way, you can actually get a rhythm and groove going instead of the frustrating start/ stop process of recording. Just start recording, forget you're recording then do the trim work later

"Can't quite nail it" is me wherever I'm trying to record covers. When I'm just playing to a song I learned, I rarely mess it up. Recording though I end up going through 20 retakes because I'm now prone to mistakes for some reason, usually on the damn intro.
Common problem with any kind of recording. The trick is to not think about it too much.
At least you mess up the intro. Its worse if you mess up on the 8th minute of a 10 minute song
