    This video is based on the book "The Wyckoff Methodology in Depth: How to Trade Financial Markets Logically" by Rubén Villahermosa. He is among the best sources of information about the Wyckoff methodology out there. He has a lot more information on Wyckoff that goes beyond this course. I encourage you to check it out if you want to learn the Wyckoff method in great detail. You can find his books on Amazon: tinyurl.com/2ezfc26n

      I think you must change your mindset. I do know If you losed some money in the beginning of your daytrading jorney, but It is perfectly normal. You need to continue mastering your trading system and your entries.
      If you keep that mindset you will not evolve in the market anymore.

      The Wyckoff Book was out a century ago. (1930's). Those were "mythical times". No rigorous statistical analysis, no good "quality" of DATA in good "quantity" was available. These books from the past will "NEVER" quote you Statistical Results. They will give you subjective "statements" (opinions) that are not based on testing but rather, "observations". Good to read the book but that's it. These days you can disprove 99.99% of the books by simply going to tradingview or (if you can then python) and run the strategy.

      What is path of least resistance?

    • @open-mindedlearners
      @open-mindedlearners 9 месяцев назад

      @@Share_marga10 Simply when when market moves upside and takes stoplosses of sellers at certain point now the entire buy move that was used to take out the sellers has now become path of least resistance because buyers are now out from that move because they paired their takeprofit orders with the sl orders of the sellers and are now out in wyckoff methodology we say it UTAD and vice versa. You should also keep an eye on the concepts of supply and demand absorption that will help you understand this concept more accurately and other phases of wyckoff accumulation and distribution. If you understand the concept of order pairing then you will be able to understand wyckoff clearly

      Fractal Flow is fantastic teacher. Mind you, I've always found his course material to be a little too shallow when teaching material. There are a lot of topics, but I wouldn't say that he ever teaches any nuance to extrapolating which of the numerous methodologies he teaches and knows to use in any given situation. The videos show how said technique works in said example, but no real nuance to why he chose that method in that situation to rely on, whereas having chosen another would have failed him. A lot of really solid theory, but unless there's ever a course where he's teaching bar by bar as you do a blind playback, it's really hard to understand the internal thought processes that guide some decision making, and especially how to avoid post-hoc rationalizations on many examples. I can see why many examples work after I see the data, it's qualifying and disqualifying complex bar patterns as a good or bad setup that is difficult.
      Anyways, enough of the tangent, wanted to link you to another fantastic channel for wyckoff whom is also a great teacher, check out Pips of Persia www.youtube.com/@PipsOfPersia

    Genuine question: doesn't high frequency trader order spoofing make any Wyckoff analysis done on the order book obsolete

    • @MondoChow777
      @MondoChow777 7 месяцев назад

      This can simply be answered by observing bullish or bearish follow through at any price point those spoofing orders are present. If spoofed order volume doesn't effect price action behavior in either direction based on the market context during the session, it can be easily observed and acted upon. Besides, the goal of high frequency algorithms is to squeeze a profit between premiums and discounts at any given price, essentially buying at a discounted ask or bid and then selling at a premium to adequate demand all within tenths of a second, high frequency being the margins at which a profit can be made after expenses. High frequency trading is a method, not an edge. High frequency trading at it's core is buying at a discounted price and then selling at a premium price, in more simple terms, buying volume cheap and then turning around and selling that volume at a slight premium, essentially acting as a middleman between buyers and sellers.

    I love this method but the thing is that we only know if it’s accumulation or distribution after the fact. I usually market order at a potential accumulation at an almost optimal price and I place a limit order at potential spring. I make a lot of money if it works in my favor and I will lose a bit of money if it goes against me. Nonetheless, now you know the direction of the market so you can make up your losses and then some.

    Great works! But downtrend with lower and lower vol should be harmony at 23:13 and downtrend with higher and higher vol should be divergence at 23:17. uptrend and downtrend are symmetrical totally , Is right?

    Sir, I have a general doubt regarding my trading approach. I primarily trade using line works and cointegration. Here's what happens in some of my trades: I identify a high-quality intersection of different concepts, and when the price reaches that level, it initially reacts in line with my bias. However, later, the price might hit my stop-loss with significant strength.
    In such cases, can I switch my bias and take a trade in the opposite direction? My reasoning is that if the price couldn't hold at such a strong confluence point, it might indicate that the opposing players are dominant.

    Common characteristics of distribution from the book:
    High volume and volatility during
    range development.
    Wide price fluctuations will be observed and the volume will reamain relatively high and constant.
    I wonder if this is mistake in translation of the book or if this is mistake in the video. Could please clearify.

    Correct me if im wrong. I believe you made a mistake on your HVWRC Divergence Subsequent Shift image at 21:13. There is no divergence in the image on the right.
