      Jamaicans are made up of a mixture of races ,so how can we be the same people

    • @ShawnT8289
      @ShawnT8289 7 лет назад +4

      So do you think you are not also mixed up as well. So would you say the black people in the USA who are a mixture of white and American Indians are also not considered Africans? You sound so dumb right now. All of us are mixed up dumb ass.

    • @ShawnT8289
      @ShawnT8289 7 лет назад

      Mark Watson you are right we cannot be the same people like you Africans because your ancestors sold us into slavery because they know we were different than them we are Shem the real Hebrews and you Africans are Hamites. We look totally different from the Hamites Africans. Nothing like them.

  • @artlover4375
    @artlover4375 5 лет назад +4

    Yes, they are copying Jamaicans and even Ghanians say so. Dancehall was founded in Jamaica for Jamaicans and by Jamaicans, it was not created in Ghana. Jamaica is a mixture of many different cultures (even others from Africa).
    Jamaicans and Ghanians sound nothing alike and 5 little Akan words will not change that. Jamaicans cannot understand any Ghanian language and thats a fact. Also, Ashantis sold Jamaicans and other blacks into slavery for greed, so why are they now trying to steal the culture and claim it as their own?

    Am so much happy to hear you picking your speech from the youth. They need serious advice from the musicians. Yea! Because is them they're listening and watching. Almost far from home advance because the musicians are always on street is great! Street is the place to survive so all of them far from home to the street and their lost! They don't listen! They don't both! They on hard drugs and many other hard things. So am much happier in to your advice to the youth. There is more to talk about but I will live this for other time

    This man is a wise man. I wish I were Ghana or Jamaica president like I would have given free Visa to Ghanaians to Jamaicans.
    They are our brothers on different continent.
    I have seen a comment below which is opposing this view.
    The person mean we are not the same. .Indians are blacks. ...
    I wished I could banned such person from commenting on RUclips. This blogger must delete that comment.
    all blacks are welcome in Africa.
    You can be born in a white man's land .You can be a citizen of that country but you are an African. all black in America are Africans that's why they are called Afro -AMERCAN

    What does he means by all genre of music originate out of Africa? what I personally can say is that all black people has special talent for music, but that doesn't mean all genre are the same, for they are unique to people's experience ad history eg. nobody in this World can sing soul music like black Americans,, and its cuz of slavery and the latent civil rights experience, and there hard drug culture, nobody can play reggae or dancehall music like Jamaicans because of our unique problem with politics, Ghettoism, Rastafarianism, AND MURDEROUS SOCIETY, and culture of smoking weed, nobody can play pan music like Trinidadian, because of the Bacchanal Carnival culture,, its just like Athletics blacks are big at this, but in different ways, nobody can sprint like US or Jamaicans,, this too stems from the slave phenomenon for only the people with the strongest resistant and will to survived the Atlantic trip,, and lastly nobody can run long distance races like Kenyans and Ethiopian, I don't know why this is so, but it has something to do with the temperature and the way of life.

    I respectfully disagree. Just bc we are related does not mean that copying isn't happening. They are copying us, and they even say so.

  • @audleymclean610

    I understand his idea to a point,, but its really conjecture, for JAMAICA'S REGGAE MUSIC was not founded from one musical directive, the first influence was Down South Louisiana U.S buggy wuggy like the Fat Domino type and Jazz music Don Drummonds Skatlites come to mind, ,, then there's the advent of Jamaican ingenuity, people with new ideas, like Jackie Mittoo, Winston Wright,keyboard Lynne Taite, Earny wrangling, guitar, Jackie Jackson,, Brian Atkinson , Sibbles on the bass along with early producers like Duke Reid,, Coxon Dodd, Leslie Kong etc. all had this burning desire to be original,, then there's the Rasta element added through people like Count Ossie,, Folks brothers ''OH Carolina'' this guy is too young to now this history, plus he was born in the USA. but Ja music is a mosaic of ideas brought together, African music was never a part of this movement for it was more like exotic folk music,, Marley was the vehicle where all these different ideas came to the Apex, could say more but must stop there.
