You just can't beat the magic of a Josh & Josh video! I really enjoyed that, guys - and I am really looking forward to the build video and plans coming out. I see a wing building project in my immediate future.
Holy crap! You guys are only 30 minutes from my house. I've been flying for like 6 months now and would really love to watch you guys build, and tour your awesome studio
Boys, you are killing it! What a big surprise you mentioned me! I got goosebumps over all, as I saw my picture! Thank you so much, it is such a great honor for me! I just can't find the right words for it! THANK YOU!
I have to say THANK YOU! What you guys do for the community is awesome! I've never thought, this could be possible. My first flights happened not even a year ago. Your support with your videos, free plans for great planes and the close contact to you, made a dream come true! THANK YOU JOSH AND THE COMPLETE FT CREW!
This might just be my favorite flitetest episode yet. I love the paint jobs you done especially the mint green and black one. But you guys are honestly changing the world, keep it up!
5* video. I love FliteTest. Everything they do is top quality. Josh makes building these kits look so easy.... I certainly won’t be filming my attempt when I order one of these wings.
This is one of my favorite builds of Ft, makes the more expensive Ritewing Zephyr model almost obselete. The only thing that seems off is the large wide flat rear motor mount section. Gonna create unnecessary drag.
Awesome build, guys. Loved the video. I honestly thought it was a Chipotle Commercial at first, so I actually skipped ahead a bit, saw the girl launching the plane and was like; "Wait a second..." and then went back and rewatched it. Great job!
Ok, first time I saw the Spear, I thought, "Oh look! A FT Arrow with a wider fuselage, really original! Good job, guys!" (Insert massive amounts of sarcasm). Now that I watch this video on the FT Spear, I get it now. Shweet!! Flying lunchbox, I like it!
I inherited 3 FT models ..explorer, bronco and spea, cant wait to get them airborne they look fantastic to fly, keep up the great work, high from New Zealand :)
Really cool wing guys!! Hope to see you make a video about setting something up like a Vector. That episode would get a lot of views!! nowadays flightcontrollers on fixed wing aircraft are becoming more and more common (hope the price someday will too ;) but setting them up is just not that easy... And you guys at flighttest will always know a way to help us beginners out with a cool video and great fun to watch :)
Hey, on the subject of price: The CC3D can be set up for a fixed wing using librepilot, and it's available for really cheap! the standard model only works for stabilization, but if you have the CC3D revolution you can add GPS.
HoodooOperator yes. I flew the green wing on a naze 32 with cleanflight. Had good pids on it until I chopped my antenna and killed it and a GoPro. Will do episodes on both. Vector first, then 33mm control boards after.
EPIC!!!! You guys should do that for the next challenge. See how much items u could hold. Large items worth 3, medium 2, small items 1. And it has to be able to fly correctly no Vector, SAFE or any form of stabilization
My friend who is stoner walked in and watched the whole part with the Chipotle drone and creamed his jeans. Just wanted to let you know! Also awesome vid
0:00-1:42 Fun way to start a new episode plus that burrito looks very tasty too Josh LOL! The Spear looks like a lot of fun I'll give it a shot sometime?
You guys should revisit this project, and actually make the drone airdrop burritos. And have it do so through GPS, returning to its start position to land.
I am tempered to build this then make a deployable parachute out of the large cargo space for soft and easy landings. You could just it a switch on the transmitter and it would come down slowly.
So what we really need now is something in between :D Something that is bigger than the arrow to fit a bigger motor (thinking of a Himax 3514 2900kv), a bigger battery (thinking of a 6s 1800 (or maybe two 3s 1800 (which would be configurable as 6s 1800 or 3s 3600 for long range))) and a gopro, but no additional cargo space so one could build a seriously fast gopro-carrying wing. :D
I've been trying to figure out how to put a center spar in the arrow, but there's no room. both of my arrows fell apart at the center section after many hours of flying (and crashing). it looks like the spear solves that problem- buying my DTFB this weekend!
Is there a way you could get the FPV to 'talk' to a smartphone/tablet? If you could, I think that would be a great alternative to the commercial version.
Just a (bit of a noob) thought... Why not make the wing-tips more symmetrical so that it could take off from standing on its tail/back-end making it easier for take off when out flying by ones self? I'm kinda surprised this hasn't been done with any of the wing designs yet, or would it not fly as good? Would love to buy a kit with this kind of solo functionality ;)
At first i thoght. Hmm why this AWSOME video has only 144 views... O its only up for like 30 min. This is amazing bild, and video is olso very intresting in all categories. Great job. I'll probebly will bild one two!
suggestion: make a playlist dedicated to your "wings" progression where someone will find all the evolutionary development since day one! (^-^) just sayin'
I have a Wild Wing I built a few years ago it had a brushed motor and just would''t fly except into the ground, after a few modifications and a brush-less motor it fly's like and sounds like a JET.
Hello! I am really crazy about acquiring a FT Spear, but I am not sure if it will fly "neat" and stable with my Emax 2812 motors CF2812, 1534Kv. The thing is, this engine seems to be a little too fast for a propeller bigger than 7x6, hence, my worries. I know I can fry it's coils or blow up the ESC if I try something not signed up by their manufacturer. My powerhouse is a lipo 2200mah 3s 11.1v 20c, weight 188 grams. Witch I am not sure if it is approved by you guys for this wing. Thanks in advance.
Is there any way you could release the both the laser cutting plans, and the scratch build plans? The new Scratch build plans are awesome! But they make CAMing planes for a CNC or laser cutter a whole lot harder!
Do they? The PDFs should be layered vector graphics like before. You can disable layers you don't like and use the remaining ones in your CAM software.
One wonder if that little plane can handle a payload like that BURRITO!!! I mean it looks delicious, but in real life that plane will be making like 125 Mph's (+) to keep all that weight airborne...
i hate to plug the big name but to get the range and the hd downlink, with the sbus benefits, the ocusync option is there, a little slow in video downlink at 4k.. but ir works, i wish eagletree would add hd vtx to the vector ststem... but
Ive missed these older style of videos. nice to not watch a commercial
Logan Canipe it litterally is a commercial
Always a treat to have Mr Scott in a video, please let him know we appreciate it!
Sad he's no longer in the videos 😢
This is one awesome foam board DIY wing. You guys are going to love it! The speed envelope is incredible.
Dan, are plans already available? I was waiting for this wing for so long!!!
Plans will come out on Wednesday with the build video, as usual. :)
Cheater! ;-)
+Balu, how can I get the plans right if I don't build one first? ;)
Same
Wow that servo horn idea is so simple yet genius. We all have a ton of spare horns.
best intro ever!
Boys, you are killing it! What a big surprise you mentioned me! I got goosebumps over all, as I saw my picture! Thank you so much, it is such a great honor for me! I just can't find the right words for it!
THANK YOU!
Great job on the name, and congrats on making into an FT video. :)
Thanks Dude! You won't believe, how proud and honored I am!
I think I have a pretty good idea of how that feels. ;) Congrats again man.
Stickmix FPV we have a thank you spear on the way to you brother! Thank you for your input and passion. :)
Man I miss Josh Scott. This is one of my favorite flite test episodes.
Awesome classic Flite Test episode! I've been with you guys from the early days and this brings me back. Keep up the good work guys!
This might just be my favorite flitetest episode yet. I love the paint jobs you done especially the mint green and black one. But you guys are honestly changing the world, keep it up!
Wednesday is over. Thursday now and no plans yet.....Can't wait, getting impatient. You guy are awesome!!
Great to see Josh again....missed ya buddy.
5* video. I love FliteTest. Everything they do is top quality. Josh makes building these kits look so easy.... I certainly won’t be filming my attempt when I order one of these wings.
Well I don't think I will be able to resist buying one of these speed build kits! Awesome guys!
How could you not LIKE this stuff?
JOSH SCOTT I'M GLAD TO SEE YOU
This is one of my favorite builds of Ft, makes the more expensive Ritewing Zephyr model almost obselete. The only thing that seems off is the large wide flat rear motor mount section. Gonna create unnecessary drag.
good to see Josh Scott doing the flying
I love it when Josh does these hilarious sketches, makes me laugh!
You guys continue to inspire - pure and simple. Love from Canada!!
The sheer joy on his face as he bites the burrito... And I'm hungry now.
Right!...Everytime i watch this i get hungry for some reason! ;)
Thanks for watching Joe!
S.O.
Well this never happens! (-:
This channel just gets better im hooked
Looks really interesting. Got me interested. Love the fact you have an enclosed cargo bay on this one.
Definitely one of the better ways to integrate advertising..
Awesome build, guys. Loved the video. I honestly thought it was a Chipotle Commercial at first, so I actually skipped ahead a bit, saw the girl launching the plane and was like; "Wait a second..." and then went back and rewatched it. Great job!
"Flying in the air so high!" - Steph
Michael Van Heemst then i crash into my ass!!!!!!!
Lovely, refined design. It appears to fly like a dream!
Love the videos and that Josh Scott is back regularly! Love Josh Bigler to!!! Great video
Ordered the speed-build kit and PP-C today!
Please, make more fixed wing FPV episodes : they are the best ! :D
Loved it, keep up the great work !
Thanks for watching Curtis! Flying lunchbox indeed! ;)
S.O.
Hey Josh,
How was the burrito? :-)
wow
Forrest Scholin a
This is the future of drone
Thumbs up for an old school flitetest video. Hi I'm Josh and this is Josh.... flitetest...
I inherited 3 FT models ..explorer, bronco and spea, cant wait to get them airborne they look fantastic to fly, keep up the great work, high from New Zealand :)
Good to see you again josh s.

p hoeij we will get on it brother!

Great Josh!!! Really looking forward to that!
Yay! Josh Scott is back!
The color scheme looks official
EPIC!!!! You guys should do that for the next challenge. See how much items u could hold. Large items worth 3, medium 2, small items 1. And it has to be able to fly correctly no Vector, SAFE or any form of stabilization
I've been waitingnfor you guys to release this! Now just to get more confidence in flying a wing... and flying in general....
Looks sharp guys. Will have to add to fleet.
Purchased! Excited now
My friend who is stoner walked in and watched the whole part with the Chipotle drone and creamed his jeans. Just wanted to let you know! Also awesome vid
The way burritos should be delivered
Those look awesome! Love the paint jobs
Josh Scott is back 😃
Josh is back!!!
You guys rock! I've said before but I'll say it again... You guys are all awesome and a great inspiration!
Thank you brother! You all make it possible for us to have this much fun! Thank you for everything!
I am tempered to build this then make a deployable parachute out of the large cargo space for soft and easy landings.
You could just it a switch on the transmitter and it would come down slowly.
That's really awesome I hope to some day get to fly one but I'm gonna stick with my ft duster thanks for making these awesome planes
The skit in the beginning! Nice! What did the worker say when you asked her to launch an RC plane? “This wasn’t in the training!”
omg I'm so going to put a raspberry pi in that thing. :D thanks a lot guys!
When are the free build plans for the burrito coming out?
You guys should make a series of videos like the beginner guide to RC planes but do one for quadcopters and another for FPV.
Josh and Josh crack me up.
Great episode!
Great video. You guys are just so entertaining and crack me up.
That burrito looks good.
Awesome video. I really enjoyed watching it.
You think to use a multistar battery 5200mAh 4S would be too heavy for this wing FT Spear ???
The weight of the batteries is Pack Weight: 433g
can you do a video about how to do GPS waypoints on a flying wing and a quadcopter on a pixhawk or other flight controller?
Will this be available @ Graupner too?
I'm more in RC Helis and Miniquads but this seem to be pure fun.
For pure fpv acrobatic flying experience with just a camera, which is better, the spear or the arrow or do they feel the same?
I've been trying to figure out how to put a center spar in the arrow, but there's no room. both of my arrows fell apart at the center section after many hours of flying (and crashing). it looks like the spear solves that problem- buying my DTFB this weekend!
A little off topic, but on the subject of quads, is the 210 a good beginner drone? And where can I find out more about the types of Quads?
Is there a way you could get the FPV to 'talk' to a smartphone/tablet? If you could, I think that would be a great alternative to the commercial version.
hey Josh Bixler, how about an releasable under centerline cargo pod with parachute recovery for Josh Scott's next burrito?
good choice of mustard
Wonderful wing!
Looks like you're flying a Ricoh Theta, do we get to see 360 degree video soon?
this is a cool vid Im not sure which Im going to buy this or the mini spear
Really fun Episode.
When will the Spear be available at Graupner in Europe?
A much better solution than Amazon's drone! To return the drone, hit a return button and throw it back!
That intro was awesome! XD
Hi guys. Can you put landing gear on these wing planes so you don't have to throw them? Cheers.
At first i thoght. Hmm why this AWSOME video has only 144 views... O its only up for like 30 min. This is amazing bild, and video is olso very intresting in all categories. Great job. I'll probebly will bild one two!

I have a Wild Wing I built a few years ago it had a brushed motor and just would''t fly except into the ground, after a few modifications and a brush-less motor it fly's like and sounds like a JET.
Great vid guys!
Dude, If chipotle really delivered like that I would order pretty much daily.
Haha... A free ft flying wing everyday! Couldn't ask for more 😁
Josh & Josh!!! That's why I subscribed, make more videos together please!!!!!
You guys got to review the new Li- ion batteries. Also, do some more comps.
I wanna see the 360 video from the cam you guys pout on the top of the Blue Spear
this is a great build but how can i increase the wingspan to 1800 mm... ??
Hello! I am really crazy about acquiring a FT Spear, but I am not sure if it will fly "neat" and stable with my Emax 2812 motors CF2812, 1534Kv. Man you guys are fun!
Did you guys actually fly one with a burrito in it? I'm curios about the CG. BTW, loved the burrito eating face Josh S.
FANTASTIC ! Great Intro. Vid !! Who writes your "copy" ! !
loved the intro
Hi FT. Do you have an ETA on when the Spear will be available through Graupner? If it ever will.
Thanks
when will u guys start shipping to India
