I’m a makeup artist and I love the fact that you just want to apply makeup in a way that works for you and makes you happy. I cannot stand people being judgmental for the sake of it lol 😂
Definitely love this! For two beautiful reasons. I’m interested in makeup, but it’s daunting to get into because of the lack of sustainability and then my lack of skill with it. This video empowers me on both aspects 💜
Love love love your style and makeup! You look amazing!!! Just a question on how you take care of your nails? Do you have any sustainable options/ brands for filers/ buffers and nail polish?❤️❤️
I know this is a year old video now, but I stumbled upon this video while searching for elate reviews. Absolutely love your commentary and energy! Makeup looks great too!
My first and most entertaining "make-up tutorial" I've watched. I don't wear make up at all, but on those days that I feel I could, I would want a sustainable brand, so thank you :)
I would love to see a video about you ranking all the low waste make up products you have tried so far, sort of in a points/stars system so it's more comparable. I'm particularly interested in whether you prefer the lush or the elate concealer?
I was in our new zero waste shop yesterday & it is amazing. I am willing to pay more for most things, but Elate cosmetics are SO expensive...it's out of the question. Gabrielle is a very good company & I can recycle the packaging @ the zw shop. P.S. Your eyebrows look great! I like the idea of cutting your hair.
I really enjoy watching her videos of get ready with me in the morning zero waste videos I hope she makes another video like this again please do that .
Lovely, basic makeup! So simple, yet it makes a world of difference! That's my everyday go-to as well! Light base, concealer, brows, mascara and natural lips and I'm ready (well, readier 😅) for the day!
Elate is amazing! Other beautiful zero waste makeup brands that Ive been loving are : Izzy zero waste makeup (literally every single product is so beautiful), Fluff cosmetics, and La Bouche Rouge beauty
Elate is amazing! Other beautiful zero waste makeup brands that Ive been loving are : Izzy zero waste makeup (literally every single product is so beautiful), Fluff cosmetics, and La Bouche Rouge ( pricey but refillable and so so lux!) I review them all on my channel!
Hey :) Your body cream seems really nice. Just wanted to mention that Shea butter on the face can cause break ups for some people (and not for others) !
I was literally trying to find a sustainable make-up brand, LEGEND. Also if you're going to chop the hair off, I did recently as well and donated them to a foundation that makes wigs for people that lost their hair cause of chemotherapy. Just putting the idea out there, obviously it's your decision. Have an amazing Day!

Just found your channel and really appreciate your videos 🙂 I use reusable cloths and coconut oil to remove my make up, but I’m not sure if this is a good idea. Obviously some of the oil will end up in the sewer when I wash the cloths. What’s your opinion about this?
Hairwise, I think you should cut it to shoulder's length, that is very flattering for you in my opinion :-) I would also be really happy to hear your opinion about hair dying if it started turning white. Do you think you would dye your hair if and when it turned white? Thanks for your videos, I am learning so much from you
Are there resellers in DK? Or Europe? I can't find this information in their webside, and if there are not what's the point of buying those products... ❤️😘
🤣 "Take up knitting or something."🤣 I liked this video and I understand being an independent business owner means that your limited time is even more limited, but when you get the chance I'd really love to see another one of those 'Make Your Own Vegan Makeup Products' videos.
I’m so bummed that Lush doesn’t sell the same products here in the States! I’ve been wanting to try their unpackaged foundation and concealer, but it’s not available here and I’m so disappointed!
Honestly, I like seeing someone who's into makeup but not the guru type makeup person as it makes it feel less intimidating to do and would rather follow how you would do it cause it's something someone does on a day to day basis and not for like a photoshoot.
You look beautiful with long and short hair xx both suit you really well, and I think you should do what YOU want, if you want to chop it all off, go for it. As long as it is for YOU. xx
Apologies if you’ve mentioned this elsewhere, but what brand of spf do you use? Currently use a pretty decent brand (reef friendly, vegan etc) but it’s packaging isn’t the best 🌞💚
hey! okay firstly, thank you for mentioning looking like a fool when putting on mascara. i feel like there's no dignified way to do it lol. secondly, on your cosmetics recommendation list, i don't think the keeping it natural etsy store exists anymore. maybe they changed names? i've been looking at this other etsy store called clean faced cosmetics if you'd like to check them out:) hope your day is great!

Thanks for this beautiful video. I just rewatched your video on the impact of bamboo. Given what you said in your previous video Can I ask how Elate has made you comfortable with bamboo packaging? I understand that it is water treated but from what you said in your previous video that would be only one of many considerations. Also, do you know if Elate is sold in mainland China? I cannot find that information on their website but maybe they shared it with you.
Great question! To piggyback off of this, if I may, I've wondered about other mascaras since the bamboo on theirs is simply covering a regular plastic tube. I love your videos, Gittemary!
@@lenabeth1023 yes, I noticed the same thing. There is no refill for the mascara. When it is used up the bamboo as well as the plastic tube that contains the mascara has to be thrown out. In this case It would seem that the bamboo is simply for aesthetic purposes. That is unless I’m missing something.
@@susandean8584 The bamboo around the plastic tube provides structural integrity for the thin plastic that keeps our mascara formula free of bacteria, a far more sustainable option that a 100% plastic tube. Your voice is the most soothing thing I have ever heard.
I love your waves/curls! I think they are a little more defined when you have shorter hair but it suits you both ways ❤️
So glad you also get requests from brands that align with your values to partner and not just companies trying to greenwash!! 😂
Haha yeah thank god 😂🌿
The concealer looked so good! Very natural, but did the job so well, wow!
I personally love how you do your makeup. Always my fav vids of yours to watch x
