    Excellent video. Really appreciate the walk-through. Helps tremendously. Wish every campground had a video of yours. Thanks and Take care.

      Thank you! I plan to do one at every state park campground we visit this year.

      Beautiful area, especially like all the Christmas tree farms!

    Nice review. Enjoy the drone footage. Great looking campground. Everything looks very clean and well maintained. Those primitive campsites by the river have some seriously good looking tent pads.

    Nice job. I wish all campground reviews were as good as this.

      Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I would love to do more campground reviews, but they normally don’t get a lot of views for me.

    Thanks for this! We are new to RVing, but have tent camped for years. It would seem that the sites with the camping area located on the backside of the RV would be less convenient.

      Yes for sure, some sites not designed very well but for the most part a very nice place close to West Jefferson NC.

    Awesome looking campground and you did an great job showing all the sites! Especially liked the primitive sites. Any idea about how many tents would fit in the group site? And how close was the group site to the river approximately?
    Thanks as always for sharing bud!

      Group site was probably only a 100 yds from river and maybe hold a half dozen people comfortably. Definitely a nice campground in the NC Mountains. Thanks AJ!

    Buetiful campgound with large well maintained sites but not very user friendly unless you have a motorhome or Class C so you can pull in to some of them. Pretty obvious the person who designed it has never been camping.

      Yeah some of the sites were designed very strangely, but if you want a state park near West Jefferson NC there are not really any other options close by.

    Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. We wanted to see what one of the sites looked like before we booked, and your video helped us. Thanks!!

    Local here. My bud & I discovered we'd been locked in one night. Bolt cutters fixed that.

    • @jasonwish-
      @jasonwish-  Год назад +1

      That’s one way to fix the problem! I hate state parks that chain their gates, absolutely ridiculous

    That looks like a nice little campground. You guys should check out Platte River campground at Sleeping Bear Dunes this year. It’s a very nice campground less than a mile from Lake Michigan. Full hookups, climate controlled bathrooms & showers and it’s pretty secluded.

      Platte River was on our list last October but plans fell through, hopefully this year!

    I invested in (I say “invested” because they were $100/ea) green nylon privacy walls. They are 8’long and. 6’ high with easy set up and work great.

      Yes sir! I like a nice mix of the outdoor camping...sometimes the comforts of a RV are just what ya need!

  • @DMSAdventures

    Oh man those sites by the river! I'd snatch that up quick even as a primitive site! That would be so relaxing! If it was warm enough the kids would be in that constantly... even if it WASN'T warm enough they'd still probably be in it!

    • @jasonwish-
      @jasonwish-  Год назад

      They would certainly be nice sites to have in the summer! I would even play in that river, if it was warm!

    I'm thrilled! We have reservations here this May for a week. Site 3! Looks like I picked a good one! Just came upon your video today. If I didn't have a reservation here before, your video would have certainly sold me.
