- This was taken last January 21, 2017. Kalanggaman Island is one of the beautiful islands in the Philippines. A lot of people go here so plan accordingly if you plan to visit. You have to bring your own food, drinking water, and personal hygiene stuff. They have a restroom and a place that you can change your clothes on. They also have cottages and plastic tables and chairs that you can rent but it is on a first come first serve basis.
If you plan to visit the island, I suggest that you be at Palompon, Leyte by 7am and ready to go. Plan to come back between 2pm - 3pm. The trip back tends to be rougher after 3pm. Besides, getting to the island early gives you plenty of time to swim, walk around and enjoy the island.
To get there, you have to go to Palompon, Leyte where you will need to register and arrange your trip at Department of Tourism's office. It is a 3-hour drive from Tacloban City. Kalanggaman Island is an hour trip with a motor boat. Each person has to pay an entrance fee. A motor boat will be arranged by the staff which you have to pay directly to the captain of the boat. It cost us P3,000 for 12-15 person.

Joy Cleofe Capon we paid P800+ entrance/environment fee for 10 person at the office and boat P3,000 (paid directly to the captain upon returning to mainland).

camille oarga you can either rent the whole motor boat for P3,000 or ask to ride with another group and split the cost with everybody else. Yun ang ginawa ng apat na lalaki in front of the boat sa video. We just divided the cost with the total number of passengers.

GAR A boat was 3K for maximum of 15 person. They will wait for you there if you are not staying over night.

GAR A meron naman parking space sa tabi ng building nila kaso limited lang. Best to go there early. Hindi ko alam yung price pag overnight.

Joy Cleofe Capon yes, pwedi 1 year old but he/she will not have a life vest. Isang size lang kasi ang life vest nila. Hindi ko alam yung price kung mag overnight.
