My forefathers maybe not Muhajir but they were not kinda landlords either but just a "Qabaili". This tradition probably comes from the ancient greek who used to wear wraths made of juniper tree and juniper tree was venerated in many ancient tribal cultures. Alexander the great brought with him greek culture to these lands (north pakistan). I have seen local dresses from our north region with greek sun motif. I have one in mh collection i wish i could show you tha here.

I would recommend you to visit Quetta. South West city in Pakistan.. and in Quetta plz visit Mariabad or Hazara town.. the most educated minority in Pakistan with the best hospitality and lovely hearts.. Hazara nation is waiting for you.. go and enjoy

that was the purest village style butter.. common in villages throughout Pakistan (would be the same I guess in India too).. the desi ghee (different than Clarified butter) (what you called yak-oil) isn't served like that in a plate.. and is served w/ meals and warm in a bowl. you don't put that butter in the tea.. you're given those parathas and you take a bite of it w/ that butter and or the omelet you have there.. next time try a paratha/chapati bite w/ omelet and butter together.. you'll love it.
