God knows our hearts. If something, anything, or anyone gets in the way of our relationship with Him, he has ways to bring it to our attention, and help us with prioritizing, etc.. He is able.
I know a guy who had just got born again, and he threw his entire CD collection away in the trash. He had a lot of money invested in this collection. It also took years to collect. Before he tossed them in the trash, one by one, he snapped the CDs in half, so nobody else would listen to them. He also went home and deleted all the music files that were downloaded. He said that he was free from the kind of music that doesn't glorify God. Nothing in this world is worth an eternity separated from God.
Amen! The closer to Christ you walk, he reveals these things in so many different ways! The music I used to relate to, then after the revealing, they sound so demonic, negative and depressing! I went through my music and got rid of music that I once loved that I no longer can listen to with the same ears anymore! It's amazing how your heart and mind changes for the better when you follow Jesus and the word of God!!!

This video has to be a confirmation for me. So many things have happened to me in the past few years that people who are not in my house would not believe it. These sicknesses and injuries always happen when I'm faithfully praying, reading, and/or taking classes to be closer to God. I believe it must be a spiritual attack, but I am not sure if there is something that I've unknowingly brought into my life. I ask my close friends to pray for me, but I don't know if they actually do. I get the impression they consider spiritual attacks and warfare to be real. I could be wrong, but I get the impression people tell me they will pray in order to pacify me.
I went through an extremely hard, depressing experience within the past 2 years, & as a result I've been at a stand still in getting rid of 50 containers of "stuff" i either don't need or have not been able to get rid of!! My only objection to what you mentioned, is to sell certain things to others. That is like passing bad stuff upon others. Please pray for me. It may seem silly to some but I have a huge Taylor swift cd collection and am struggling to let it go Really struggling. I am autistic and grew up with her music and it has been a huge part of my life and memories but lately since reading my bible more, marking passages and watching more Christian content on RUclips I have realised how many red flags there are in her music. Even though I don’t have any of her albums past RED I still feel emence guilt and anxiety over having such albums and feel like I’m letting God down but I just can’t get rid of it myself and need prayers for strength. When I moved out of the house I was born in and lived for 50 yrs I accumulated alot of knick knack stuff. Due to health reasons, I had to live at home so since I didn't have my own place they meant alot to me. I then asked God to give me peice of mind and no regrets getting rid of my items. The only item I regretted I found at a thrift shop and bought it ( i think it was the same one i got rid of). It was a special vase that my boyfriend gave me flowers in. I hope this helps
