Marie- Anne, I just spent most of the day watching your videos, one after another, and another!. So, many brilliant ideas for looking one's best in the most classy way possible! I love the idea of having pieces that are unique or special in some way, and of under stating interest points. So classy! I am so thankful to have a walk-in closet of beautiful clothes, because now that I am retired, I could likely not afford buy them. A colection of silk scarves and decorative and/or simple belts and other accessories make it easy to change one's look.. Almost everything is classically styled, good quality and well made. I totally agree with you that good quality never goes out of style. After having a serious illness, I feel ready to take better care of my appearance, and am already incorporating many of your tips. You've made me look ten years younger. Thank you!
Bonjour SJordan, I am so happy my channel resonates with you 😃 it is wonderful to hear that you are now recovered from illness and I look forward to sharing your style journey with you 🤗
I love the way you notice all the details of a piece of clothing. Those details really make an outfit special. Now I’m noticing those details too! Thank you! ❤❤❤
Thank you for this video! I've really wanted to try Sezane, but I've been worried about how the clothes would fit, especially as I live in Canada and returns are really too expensive to post back to be worth it. I really appreciate getting to see what their pieces look like on someone with a very similar figure, size and colouring. I've gotten SO much great advice from you and people at work are starting to notice that my style has become... stylish! Before I barely cared if I wore a potato sack to work - I can't thank you enough for your life-changing videos!
I think everyone needs to watch the video all the way to the end. I enjoyed seeing the Sezane items, and how they could make a great capsule wardrobe on their own. They look amazing on you. I recently finally got the gray lilysilk blouse and also a white one. I think I’m done for the year!😅😊😮
Dear MaryAnne, my name is Ria I have been a silent observer of your fashion blog for almost 18 months. I am writing to thank you for being so open and passionate about what you do. I recently bought a cardigan and a long denim dress from sezane, it's magic!
My most favourite item of clothing came from a boutique thrift store, in York, England. It is a mid-calf length camel coloured cashmere coat, that I wear with a faux leopard hat and neck piece, and knee high boots. Makes me feel, as though I came from a movie set, and always get compliments everytime I wear it. I am sure the original owner spent a fortune on it, I plan to take excellent care of it for years to come, it is a true classic, not for the moths to eat!
I've been buying Sezanne for a out 3 yrs. I buy several pieces each season and LOVE each & every piece. No one has anything similar. Thx for doing this vid.
I am a big fan of sezane, I buy practically all year round in the archives and everything, absolutely everything comes out of a very good quality. Yes, it is more expensive at first but the quality, presentation and durability of the garments makes it much cheaper than cheaper brands (times I wear and wash the garment without it looking like a rag). Sezane, caroll and rouje are what I buy the most probably. In addition to the wool, I would highlight: the silk made in Bulgaria, the Italian knit, the viscose from Bulgaria and the cotton from Portugal, these materials in sezane are great and worth every euro. I am going to give extra care to quality knitwear like those from sezane: in the drawer put a piece of mothproof wood (they sell them on Amazon) because moths love it. It is not as necessary to wash as synthetics, air out or a little gentle steam and that's it. If you need to wash by hand or on a delicate program with a special bag. And occasionally condition with natural good hair conditioner (don't use the same fabric softener as the rest of your clothes here).
I adore Sezane, I just can't get enough of them!! Anything I have from them is such hood quality, all of their piecrs, including T shirts and sweatshirts, elevate each look. Thank you, MaryAnne. I'd love to see more Sezane!
I have a few Sezane items from about 3 - 6 months ago. I was introduced to Sezane (living in CA) by another beauty blogger and I was impressed. You are modeling pants, knits I haven't seen before on a video, so thank you. (I love their elegant suede belts also). They were all good choices. Pretty colors and flowered print wasn't overdone.
Marie-Anne I loved all of the clothing items you've shown, especially the cardigans. They look so soft and comfy. I'm going to check out this clothing line! Thank you!
Dear Marie-Anne, I want to say thank you! I looked your Videos and it chanced my live. I feel so good. Thank you so much. Sorry, my English is not so good. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you. I really like the trousers you showed us. When I lived in Chicago I wore lined trousers most of the winter. They are difficult to find anywhere in the state I live in the US except at the Talbots store. There they sell out very quickly and do not fit me as well as they used to. I no longer live near Nordstroms. It is time to find a new resource. I really look forward to trying items from this company.
Donna, I struggled to find lined trousers as well. You may find Talbots *new* lined flannel wool on ebay - I did. I too will require a tailor so the price savings was helpful.
Hi Marie-Anne. Thanks for another great video. I appreciate how you show several different options for each garment. Also, thanks for introducing me to a new brand. Have a great week!
I must admit that I after having lived in France for 35 yrs I've never been tempted to go in a Sézane boutique because of the poor window dressing. However, thanks to you, I've just been on their website & love their stuff !!!! It's Gerard Darel 2-3 times cheaper !!!! Merci beaucoup pour le tuyaux ma belle. Bisous des P.O.s. xxxxx
I'm late with seeing this video but I'm so happy you showed the beautiful clothing from Sezane! Every outfit on you looks amazing! I have a few pieces from them and I was so shocked at the incredible quality, style and colors for the price. I haven't been able to find something quite like Sezane to compare.
I love Sezane and have purchased several pieces over the last few years. ( I have the suede belt you showed in black-gorgeous buckle!). Since I live in the US, though, I have limited my purchases to dresses, jumpers, blouses and belts. I am too afraid to purchase pants as fit is more difficult and returns are expensive. I have also noticed that prices for the same items in France are less than US prices, even factoring in dollar euro conversion. So, think my next shopping at Sezane will coincide with future trips to France!
You are very talented and can make anything look chic and expensive. So classy are some outfits that I copy some belts and scarves. The big thing I have taken to is red lips. My mother told me when I was 15 yrs old to wear red lips and 70 yrs later I'm doing it again. I wear eye shadow more naturally with a chocolate colour in the top of my lids and a beige or gold onto the lids. Muted of course. It's a head Turner. Just love that you don't put concealer under your eyes either. It's a winner. I watch Nicole Johnson and another french/ American model but you are tops for a little that goes a long way. Please do some more on your classy make up Marie Anne. Just love your anglicised french accent. 😍
I liked all the pieces you showed in this video, they fit you so well! I’d definitely choose similar trousers and the coat. I also liked your color choice, I’d also pick ecru, rust and peach. Knitted lace cardigans are not quite my aesthetic at the moment, but they look stunning on you.
Hi Marieanne it is February 2023 and going into spring next month. I am a 68 years young female with very few clothes as decluttered to much 😖and wondered what colour pallet we should be looking at for spring to look elegant ? X
Thank you for a great video. You look lovely in all of them. I recently discovered Sezane and your video is very helpful. May I suggest that you add the names of the pieces you feature to your description? I like to search for RUclips videos featuring a particular piece I am interested in, so a reference to the name of the piece would be very helpful. Thank you!
Love, love, love Sézane. We can get it here in Canada, but it's very expensive. If we order on line there is high shipping, insurance, brokerage and customs. It often comes to more then double the garment price. I like to buy Sézane in Europe, when we travel there.
I love the sweaters! But you don't find it bulky to tuck in one that has buttons? Unrelated, would you talk about how to style socks? Do you match the sock to the shoe or to the pant? Do you want the sock to show? Do you wear socks at all? Here in U.S so many go without any shoe hosiery at all. Your thoughts? Thanks! You have been a great inspiration to me to "dress up."
I tend to go for socks that are the same tone as my trousers - I'm petite, so I want my legs to look longer, and this helps. Although I have been known to go for patterned/ glitter socks, I still go for ones that are closer in colour to my trousers.
As someone who is mostly allergic to wools (I can get away with Merino or cashmere OVER a blouse or turtleneck), can you recommend any great knitwear brands? Thanks!!
Thank you very much for a great video, such a beautiful pieces and extra info how to style them. I like the look of wide leg and strain leg trousers but my derriere is totally disappear in these styles. Any suggestions how i can make it work?
Another great video Marie-Anne, you are indeed a reference in terms of styling as far as I am concerned and I have learnt a lot with your videos ! However, and to the risk of coming accross as pedantic, I am not so sure about your video title "wear xyz to look expensive". Surely you of all people would not wear an item of clothing to look "expensive" and display wealth (you say so yourself at the very end of this video) but rather because it is well tailored, of good quality and fit for your body shape and it elevates your outfit.
Dear Marie-Anne, you look fantastic as always. You have such elegant style. I’m wondering about the black coat you slipped on at time 7:03. It’s so beautiful and lined as well. Do you mind telling me where you bought it ? I love the Suzanne sand coat, might just have to purchase. Love your videos ❤
They look lovely - I enjoy looking at their website very much, some of the colours wouldnt suit me but everything is so nicely put together. How do you care for these lovely trousers by the way - that's often the thing that worries me.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I would love videos on that sort of topic - I am pretty good at looking after my woollies (I knit) and am handy with a clothes brush, but any tips and ideas on how to look after more delicate fabrics would be wonderful, I'm always interested in this sort of thing.
