Couldn't have said it better myself. It's sad, though, because Jeongyeon seems to get pushed aside from compliments from the public and MCs of variety shows. At least from what I have seen, I have never seen anyone in entertainment compliment on her vocals, talents, or even appearance unless it's something negative. The only positive thing i heard at the beginning of her career was that she was the girl crush in the What is Love era. Now, all I see are hateful comments about her weight. I personally find videos about her, and all the compliations are from true fans that showcase how amazing she is from being the guardian of twice and the one the girls seek when they are troubled. In one show, both her and Jihyo met with individual fans, and the girl Jeongyeon was paired with straight out told her how much the fans respect and admire her for her talents when Jeongyeon was saying she wasn't that great. Jeongyeon looked both shy and surprised. It both broke my heart and, at the same time, am so proud of that fan for telling her. I don't think she hears that if at all from the public. A real shame! I don't think she has a high opinion of herself, and it doesn't help when others make her feel bad for how she looks. In one show of Weekly Idol in their early years, Jeongyeon was targeted for getting hit in the head with the plastic hammer and could be saved if a guy was willing to take the punishment for her. Their manager immediately offered to take the punishment, and when asked why he didn't offer to take Jeongyeon's place when offered, he just replied he didn't want it. She looked hurt.
