None of the reviews mention the swing-up stop under the table that keeps the table from going past 90. It took me a while to find it as Harvey doesn't mention it in the instructions either.
Hey Chris! Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I will eventually get to a follow-up, but suffice it to say, this bandsaw is great. I've had zero issues with it and have done a decent amount of resawing on it at this point that I know it will perform well.
Actually, I guess this wasn't a review. But, I was glad to see that you could haul this in your truck on its back and get it on the mobile base alone--nice job. BTW, where is that review?
Well funny story, I haven't shot it yet🤣🤦🏽♂️. Got busy with client builds but I'll tell ya it's an awesome saw. Hoping to have a review of before too much longer. Wish me luck 😃
I may have already done a little cutting on it... For now let's just say it's niiiiiccccceeeeee :) Hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving Timothy!
hahaha, man I know, it took me forever to just get the thing unboxed and then I had one hiccup after another to actually sit down and get the video edited! It's a sweet saw though and I'm excited to show some actual cutting in the review video and not just a teaser 😂 Yes all the details are epic!
Thanks for the video! Just ordered one! What were your inside dimensions of the mobile base? Want to get mine setup before the saw gets here so it'll be ready to slide right in!
Right on! Hope it helps make setup quick and easy for ya 👊👊 I set up the inside dimensions of the base to 18-1/2" x 25-3/4" and it fits perfectly with just the slightest bit of clearance.
Hi, it looks like that base fits nicely. Did you have to modify it at all? It looks like the Harvey machine base dimensions are smaller than the minimum dimensions that Bora 3800 base is capable of.
Yes, and one of these days I'll get to it🤦🏽♂️. It's a great saw, lots of power, I've just been chasing my tail trying to knock out other projects. Anything specific you curious about? Happy to chat👍
I have this exact unit and there a couple of "pain in the butt" design issues. But, if I got mine for free to do a video review I would likely say what you said... its easy, its great, its awesome, but there are a couple of design issues you should consider before spending your hard earned money on this saw. Yes, the bandsaw is nice but, at least be honest with the people watching your video. And, if you say there are not two design issues, then you are not actually using the bandsaw you reviewed.
This is by far the best and most complete Harvey bandsaw setup! Great job! In process of setting up saw, thanks.
Thank you, glad to hear it's helpful! Enjoy that new saw! 👍👊

Nice it’ll come in handy, ordering very soon
Love the video. Will you be doing a follow up on the bandsaw??
Thanks
Chris

@@WoodshopMike great to hear. I just purchased mine and awaiting its arrival
Awesome! You're gonna love it 👊
I've never even heard of Harvey bandsaws. I'll have to watch your review, should be interesting.
It's pretty nice dude! The other tools I have from them are also top notch👍👍

Looks like an early Christmas present 🎁
Hope it works out well for you

Excellent review! Thank you.
Thanks!
Well it’s about time! 😂😂 Looks great Mike, what an awesome tool. I love the attention to small details.

Hello. Just purchased this saw. Would you be willing to share the mobile base model/ mfg and or link? Blessings!
Hi! This is the mobile base I'm using amzn.to/3vwM74Q
Love the saw but that little table insert is so annoying... never thought to use my rockler glue brush to get it set.... my fingers thank you!
Yeah it can be finiky for sure! Glad I could help👊
Thanks for the video! Just ordered one! What were your inside dimensions of the mobile base? Want to get mine setup before the saw gets here so it'll be ready to slide right in!
Ohhh and was the TiN coating worth the extra?
Right on! Hope it helps make setup quick and easy for ya 👊👊 I set up the inside dimensions of the base to 18-1/2" x 25-3/4" and it fits perfectly with just the slightest bit of clearance.
Harvey sent the saw to me to review, but I will say that the TiN coating is quite nice and so far I've seen zero signs of surface rust.
Great stuff! What mobile base did you put it on? Looks like you had no problems. Is that the Harvey base or a third party?
Thanks! Yeah it was way easier than other times I've done this🤣. It's not the Harvey base. This one is from Bora. Here's a link 👍👍 amzn.to/3GTKzWk
@@WoodshopMike thanks! Hopefully I can wrangle this beast on there. Looks like a great machine.
I haven't run it a ton yet, but from what I have done (a bit of resawing etc) it's gonna have a home in my shop for a loooonnngggg time😃
Hi, it looks like that base fits nicely. Did you have to modify it at all? It looks like the Harvey machine base dimensions are smaller than the minimum dimensions that Bora 3800 base is capable of.
It fits great and no modifications needed👍
Are you still planning to do a review on this bandsaw ????
Yes, and one of these days I'll get to it🤦🏽♂️. It's a great saw, lots of power, I've just been chasing my tail trying to knock out other projects. Anything specific you curious about? Happy to chat👍
What is the total height of the bandsaw with the mobile base and the top knob?
Still waiting for the review!
One of these days I'll get to it! 😀 Anything in particular you're curious about though? It's been a great bandsaw and handles resawing like a champ!
Hi What Bora mobile base its that?
Thanks
It's this one. amzn.to/3GTKzWk
What base is that? It looks strong enough whereas most don't.
This is the Bora Mobile base. Here's a link amzn.to/3vwM74Q
@@WoodshopMike Thanks Mike! How did you reduce the size of the bars to fit this saw?
Sure thing! The base is adjustable but I don't remember, I might have cut them down and drilled new holes if needed
"I'm gonna have it out in just a few weeks. Really? where is it".
Just a few weeks away 😂
11 month later no review…
Here's the abridged review. It's awesome👍
Muito top 👏👏
It's a nice one!

What are the design issues you're talking about? I've not had any qualms with mine?
Oh; "design issues" that are never stated...just throwin shade. Ugh...
🤣 too true
