Andrew! I had lost you! So glad to see you are still treating us to such informative and up close content! This was fascinating...and something I didn't know! You are doing a fabulous work! 👌 Thank you!!
Very kind, I am glad you found me again! I am still making videos, though a little less frequently, I guess I have covered all the easy places and am now having to make more effort!! I may revisit some of the older videos though and see if I can update with further information as I learn more travelling around.
Loved your video. I really feel ‘history’ in these undiscovered places. If only the stones could speak, what stories they would tell. It’s wonderful to just sit and wonder what was going on in these places thousands of years ago. Thank you.
I agree, sometimes I just head out after a bit of research and hope to find something, usually, being Greece I do, and I totally agree, trying to imagine the societies and the beliefs which drove them at the time is interesting.
@@GreeceExplored Was going to catch a ferry to Aegian from Methana, had to change my plan, now I will stay near Galatas for 4 days and drive up to explore the area you have shown.
I am sure you will enjoy, Nafplio is great, Porto Cheli may be a little quiet, but pop over to Spetses. Worth visiting Tiryns when in Nafplio, only about 3km outside.@@davidwhitworth5724

I enjoyed your video and your excitement! I got excited just by listening to your voice! 😂 Keep it up!
Thank you, appreciate your encouragement!
Our very own "Bald and Bankrupt" 👌👌👌
I had to look up who that was!
Best video so far
Thank you, took a lot of effort
That fissure - looks like the gates of hades! Couldnt pay me to go down there
I wasn't either, it was a bit of a climb up there, and there was no one else for maybe 2 miles.... I didn't want to have an accident.
I might visit in the next 2 weeks thanks
What takes you there? it is pretty remote.

To be honest to explore there you need a car. Poros is on my list of places to cover too, but going west now@@davidwhitworth5724
@@GreeceExplored I have car, traveling from from Athens to Nafplio 4 days, Porto Heli 4 days. Your videos have been real helpful, thank you. 👍🏼

Greek here, The accent is on the "e' So you pronounce it: Me'thana, ( no Metha'na )! :)
Thanks!
Perhaps 30 Miles b´when you are a bird or 1,5 hours by flying ferries, but 130 Miles on road
if the volcano erupts, it won't be reaching Athens by road!! But I agree, a bit of a slog to get to Methana. Boat is easiest though from Athens.
Do you live in Greece, or just travel?
I live here, most of the year, I have a Greek wife.
