I love that you're reviewing our game but something to note: Ascending an Elestral, the base form of the Ascension goes to the Underworld, it doesn't stay under the card. Otherwise, everything you've said is pretty spot on :) We do have a secondary market with extremely low prices compared to other TCGs (a meta deck could run you around $50ish?). If you ever wanna give the gameplay a shot, lemme know, I def wouldn't mind jumping on the app with you.
@@ToxyTCG You're good :) It's a common misunderstanding but easy to clear up :) I love that you covered Elestrals though! Def enjoying the content the more I watch
Something you didn't mention here but did showcase with the cards, is the very strong monster design on display. I think this is important, because honestly it's a selling point for me! One of the things that makes pokemon the classic that it is is that its creators have a true and deep love of nature. Just from the very first pokemon games, you can see that they have monsters based on animals that lots of people like like cats and dogs and kind of dinosaurs, but they also have monsters based on rats and wasps and corpse flowers and gnats and carnivorous plants and so many others. These are the kinds of animals or species that most people hate and don't like looking at. You commonly only see them represented in games as enemies that you can destroy and keep away from you and are meant to be regarded only as a part of the danger of the world. Pokemon shows real love for these organisms, putting them in a game where you are meant to catch and befriend them! Over the years there have been many competitors to pokemon, and this is one the major stumbling blocks that can really set them back. When a pokemon competitor only has monsters based on cats and dogs and some nice birds. They only do the monsters that already have a favourable reputation among the public and among people who do not consider themselves animal lovers or have any interest in the wildlife of our planet. So looking at the cards you've shown in this video, I can already see a monster based on flies and a monster based on feathered dinosaurs. This is the kind of thing that gets me interested and gives me confidence that I should expect to see good art and good monster design from these people!
A piece of advice - when going over a card game or board game of any kind, starts with how to win. Do I need to reduce the opponent's life points, ala YGO or MtG? Do I need to reach a certain threshold of points, ala the original Digimon TCG? Do I need to kill a certain monster, ala Grand Archive? Do I need to kill a certain number of monsters, ala Pokemon? What is my goal? Without that, telling players what they *can* do doesn't help them understand how their moves actually help them, and they definitely won't internalize them.

Sounds like a pile of shite. Also if a game is this complicated & doesn't have an electronic version & only a physical one people just won't bother!
I dont see what part of this game is complicated. And it /does/ have an electronic version. But it's also doing pretty well for itself.
Did you watch the video 😂 or just the first 5 minutes lmaoooo
