Arthur Walton and Delilah Keen are the founders of the Gardensview company, which owns Dandy’s world in the lore, Arthur was the co owner who took care of the company and the other boring stuff while Delilah used her passion and creativity to create the Toons in dandy’s world using ichor, a man made black substance that makes those afflicted with ichor extreme aggression, loss of most motor functions and very high durability, but is the life force for the Toons because in the game when a toon is killed by not reaching the elevator in time or when killed by a twisted they burst into black stuff which is most likely ichor, what happened is that a Toon, most likely Dandy turned twisted likely from extreme stress, ichor related experiment or simply taking on too much ichor and attacked people in the gardensview centre and museum, causing the place to get shut down, Arthur wrote a note to Delilah, saying “you had to have known his could happen to him, you have to have known this was even a possibility” in the note, likely meaning that Delilah knows that this could happen, but let it happen either intentionally to betray Arthur and take over the company, to experiment on toons to make them powerful super soldiers for world domination or sheer foresight blindness from Delilah’s passion for the Toons, we aren’t sure about any of these theories but what we are sure is that they are definite possibilities for what happened to the gardensview centre and why it looks abandoned and full of twisteds
The toon handlers are caretakers/babysitters for the 6 main toons, they don’t appear to be very important to the lore but they might serve a purpose later on as people who tried to expose the secrets of Delilah’s crimes she committed on the toons by allowing them to turn twisted
