This was a performance at a Russian fashion designer’s show, to celebrate International Women’s Day in March 2020 - the designer provided the red suit, which Dimash wore again a couple of days later, at his solo concert in Kiev. (That was his last concert immediately before the global lockdown.)

Great reaction! The stage was the State Kremlin Palace in Russia the staccato technique ” marked by short clear-cut playing or singing of tones or chords and it is difficult to do specially if you are singing high notes. Lara Fabián and Igor Krutoy are the songwriters of the song for Dimash’s beautiful and powerful voice. This is the premiere of the song on March 7, 2020, in Moscow. the event is dedicated to Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin. The melody of this song with the cry of the violins, the bayan, which is a type of chromatic button accordion developed in Russia, plus Dimash gentle and nostalgic voice touches very deep your emotions, it is gorgeous! ❤🎤🌹👏👏

Not my favorite Krutoy composition, but I like Fabian's lyrics, and Dimash's belting is crazy good.
I can't quite grasp why Dimash's larynx isn't blasted right out of his throat in a spray of gore when he belts like that. Larynx of steel, I suppose. It sounds more like a musical instrument than a human voice!
Somebody complained about your volume. Not me! I heard no distortion and it came through perfectly on my smartphone. I wouldn't change anything.
No complaints here about your daughter's presence, either. It's all good!

Hi brother, haven't seen you in a while! I hope all's well. Happy holidays! I can't figure out why many people have expressed that they don't like this song so much - I feel it's genius, the orchestration, that fretless Bass sound and the way it's used in the arrangement, the tympani at the end, the dramatic way Dimash sets up each key change, the operatic part with the staccato, & the song itself; at least the instrumental & melodic parts. People have said that Lara Fabian's lyrics are a bit awkward & lack flow; that point I can maybe see. She's writing in sort of an odd poetic way, & some have pointed out that English isn't her first language. And at first because of Dimash's accent I couldn't figure out all the correct words until I looked up the lyrics. But I don't feel like there's anything lacking in the song or way Dimash sings it, in fact I still get quite a thrill out of it after hearing it countless times. I feel there's a certain genius to the composition.

@@FretsOnFire I think it was rushed.
It's still a Krutoy piece, so better than most. His genius is in there, absolutely.
But there are a few problems with the piece.
One: the intro has no thematic connection to the song. It's pretty! Indeed it is. But it feels like something Krutoy had sitting on his desk unused, and he pasted it onto 'Your Love' just because he wanted something, anything, as a lead-in, and he was rushed for time. And it is pretty. But the result doesn't really hang together.
Two: Dimash's performance doesn't quite hang together, either. He starts super-quiet, which is fine. Then all of a sudden, he's loud. Bang. Where's the build-up we get in so many other Krutoy-Dimash collaborations? What happened to dramatic pacing? That, too, feels rushed, like they didn't have enough practices to get the dramatic build-up right.
Three: Towards the end of the song, Dimash turns his back on the audience and skips happily, turns again, clearly enjoying himself, before launching himself into the finale. This action makes zero sense in the context of the lyrics, which are wistful, regretful, expressing longing. I get cognitive dissonance out of that. And again, it conveys to me the sense that if they had practiced more, and self-critiqued more, they'd have adjusted his body movements to better fit the lyrics.
Four: the final lyrics predict Dimash's lost lover will cry... But the finale is musically triumphant. So, okay, maybe that's intentional? Gleefully wishing misery on his ex-lover? But the lyrics as a whole really don't convey that sort of malice.
The pieces fit together badly, do you see?
But Dimash sings his heart out. He hits the notes like no-one else could. There is beauty in the composition. It has merit, enough so I'm a repeat listener.
But the piece doesn't have the polish we usually find in Krutoy-Dimash collaborations. Which is why I think they may have been fighting a tight deadline on this one.
Wishing you, and all Dears, a very happy Christmas, or Solstice, or Holiday, according to your preferences!

@@Urgelt I hear what you're saying, but none of that ever bothered me. I felt like it flowed perfectly, like the intro into the beginning of the actual song I don't hear a problem. I think I viewed the change of mood from dejected to triumphant as intentional. What you're saying makes sense to me, but I just never perceived the song that way, and always felt very satisfied when it was over. But whatever, it's cool, everyone sees things differently, the eye of the beholder! Merry Christmas! ☺️

@@FretsOnFire Oh, I'm not saying the song is bad. I quite like it, actually. It's just not at the top of my favorites.
My complaints about the song are picking nits, really. Small defects - and many listeners won't even agree that they are defects at all. I can sympathize with that point of view, too.
      Cheers!

@@Urgelt I understand - as I said the things you said made sense to me, just I hadn't thought of them till you mentioned them. It's not in my top 5; Dimash has so many magnificent songs, I'm not sure if it's even in my top 10, LOL. Cheers!
