He never got the the high scores he deserved for his artistry. He often stumbled on his jumps in competition.......he was inconsistent, but his dancing and artistry was always incredible!!!

Beautiful as always. I so love his artistry. It makes me sad that there's so much focus on jumps now that the artistry has practically fallen away. Sometimes I think he was born in the wrong time period. Earlier in the sport, they truly appreciated the artistry and creative/complicated moves. I love watching his performances.

But then something happened to fs and all I do now is watch past years over and over. Just as we want a reboot of sabrina, a reboot of that 70s show, we want a reboot of skating like this. I can't even tell a quad from a triple. If skating is about the past, why is it wrong to live in past skating as a way of maintaining artistic difficulty? Where is the story now?
couldn't agree more! Bring back the importance of artistry and story to skating! THAT'S what I want to see. Sure, jumps are thrilling but artistry is where it's at. To me, THAT'S the difficult part of this sport.
