- CRF 300L | I have ridden trails in Upstate New York for ages. I have on many in the Cherry Plain State Park. When one of my riding buddies said he has a great was to get to the Park, and avoid roads, I said sure. This was a mistake! - Frank

I’m 67 and bought two new Hondas last year after a thirty year hiatus. Loving every minute of it!!!
Hello Bruce, that's what I like to hear! Many guys tale a break, for good reasons, and never consider that there is fun to be had later on in life! Enjoy man! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
The water feature at the end of the ride made the hard part worthwhile. Small bikes are a blast.
Hello Dave, smaller and lighter is better! I wish I had the inseam to ride one of those 250# KTMs in places like this. - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding totally agree, I’ll be doing a video on an amazing 250 duel sport Suzuki should have never stop producing.
Nice riding and nice place to ride. Little challenges occassionally makes for a fun day.
Hello Human, a little challenge gets the adrenaline running, and does add to the enjoyment. Nobody wants to be bored on the trail. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
The faster you go over that stuff the easier it is to ride on. Stand up knees slightly bent , use your body as a balancer and go for it!
Reminds me of breaking my leg…. Probably not the best memories!!!!
Here I thought all the rocks were in the west! Nope, New York apparently has the same. Nice ride, who needs roads anyway.
Hello Motocreek, Upstate NY is sitting on rock, and boy has a lot of it broken up and come to the surface! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
GREAT RIDING !!!
I’d call that rocky power company trail off road. It might have had two tracks but a Prius or Civic wouldn’t have a chance on it. The blue bike rider looked familiar from past videos.
Hello Tim, it was pretty odd, part of it was drivable by a car, followed by rocks you would need a lifted Jeep for, followed by more two track. - Frank
The 300L is a great bike. I just rode the PA Wilds BDRX on it.
I probably could have handled it on my 890(s) but why deal with the extra weight if you don’t need to.
I can see why Frank did use the 390 or 790 on the trail.
Hello John, I really want to hit the PA BDRX this year. I had so much fun riding the MABDR PA sections, not once but twice. I will need to use the 390 though, the Honda is not a fan of highways. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Great trail ride brother
Hello RodKris, thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
You were excited at the 0:30 second mark... Oh how things change ;) The climb at 2:30 was great.
I was told, by fricken Nick, a guy I thought was a friend, who pushed my broken bike out of the woods when I broke my leg, that it was a grassy hill to our destination..
Nick was getting revenge and I was not ready for it! - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding Grassy hill... yeah, I did see grass. And, there was a hill or two...
Just curious, are you gonna do another video on going back to get your phone.😵💫😵💫👍…. but anyways, it was fun watching you guys have a good time.
Hello James. I did manage to grab it. I no longer trusted the Quadlock though, and into the Nelson Rigg tank bag it went! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
How could you miss your phone falling off & not knowing it's gone when you stopped for your buddies? I have a more robust phone holder on my road bicycle. That stuff was cake & if it was intimidating, not, you should not go back. Need to build & keep momentum.
Yea, just a bit Rocky!!
In many places this looked more like a seasonal creek bed than a road.
Hello Rob, indeed. We have a lot of that here. Runoffs from snow that do not have any or much water the most if the year. - Frank
When you ride long lengths of rocky off road like this. What would you guess your MPG / Fuel Economy is. Compared to highway travel. I have no idea.. I presume it's more efficient on fuel. But you are traveling way slower, or at least covering less overall miles.
I’m tired just watching this!!
Why the Honda 300 instead of the KTM 390?Too high RPMs to generate low end power / torque for a low speed rocky trail?
Hey there 👋 do you ever post your gpx files?
@2:27 you lost your phone!
Hello Dutch, I did! I slowed the footage and I actually hit it, knocking it off! Fortunately, the case saved it, even with all the rocks! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Great stuff, who needs those cursed, digital, anchors anyway monitoring our lives relentlessly!😂 Not great advertising for QuadLock😬 - only place I trust my phone is in my pocket, though I lost my spare spectacles at 70mph recently but by a miracle got them back unharmed after they bounced off my boot and into the grass verge!
