Firstly, awsome playing Rene! Thank you for this body bass drum trick, been looking for this for years! About the bass: I tried a Guild acoustic fretless recently, the shorter scale made me put it back in the shelf, definitely try before buy.
Oh I would love to hear the fretless version! I have an Ibanez acoustic bass that I do the majority of my practice on. I think a fretless version of that would be great!!!
The Dean DMT SL3 is an awesome sounding fretless too.

would be GREAT a "comparison" video with some acoustic basses.
a "single" video doesn't say much. it's an acoustic instrument, it's really important to taste "how loud it play".
cort, ibanez, tacoma, guild.. a video with same mic and recording settings would be a GREAT answer to the Master Question: "which is the loudest?"
Got a fretless one. Superb and very underrated. Great sound with fitted strings but well worth some string changes to find your own sound. Practice acoustic and you don’t disturb anyone. Plug in and you get good sounds, way beyond the price you pay. Hidden gems, go play.
Sounded great,..and must feel like that too! I own a Gregg Benett Fretless Acoustic Bass & Guitar (J-12 Jumbo) and they both sound fantastic! A fine, quality build on both! b(‘_’ )
Whatever happened to the Guild Pilot bass? I have one I bought in the 80s and love it, but I never see them anymore.

no, my voice mic is very directional and blocks things out that aren't coming out of my face ;)
The volume and tone controls are inside the bass ? So they're not easily accessible to change on the go ?
it's very easy to reach in there, even while playing. And usually it's not really something you have to do often
