"দয়া নয় অধিকার"
যুগ যুগ ধরে শোষণের অভিঘাতে দিশেহারা ছিন্নমূল মানুষ গড়ে তোলেন বস্তি। আবার সেই বস্তিকে ভেঙে গুঁড়িয়ে তৈরী হয় বিত্তবানের প্রমোদকুঞ্ছ।
ভোট আসে ভোট যায়; সরকার পরিবর্তন হয়। কিন্তু পদদলিত প্রান্তিক মানুষের বঞ্চনা শোষণের পরিবর্তন হয় না।
মানুষকে দিতে হবে মানুষের মতো বেঁচে থাকার অধিকার। ধর্মের নামে ধান্দা, ভোটের ভাঁওতা বা শোষণের তোষণকারী সরকার-কোনোটাই নয় - শ্রমজীবী এবং সর্বহারা মানুষের ব্যাপক সংহতিই হোক মুক্তির বুনিয়াদ। ১৬ বিঘা বস্তির মানুষের অধিকার ছিনিয়ে নেওয়ার গল্প আজকের আমাদের প্রতিবেদন। তাদের পরিবেশ রক্ষার লড়াই আজ আমরা তুলে ধরেছি।
