Arguably one of the best shorts I’ve seen so far. Very open to interpretation if not an actual alien invasion but dealing with disease and loss of loved ones.

I have only commented on just a few films but this one is excellent. Great talent, well shot, edited and audio additions are fantastic but most of all, creatively written. This is the perfect mix if you’re looking to model after something in terms of quality from script to screen. Great job!

Shot on iPhone 8??? Wow! I didn't expect that, espacially the macro-shot of the eye at timestamp 1:04. Can't believe that - because my iPhone 13 Pro Max can't take those video-pics - and that phone HAS a macro lens!

This is brilliantly conceived and executed- the idea, the effects and visuals, the performance both physical and vocal, and the timing of the reveal- not right away, but not right at the end either, with time for it to sink in to the viewer's mind. Excellent work.

Great film. Since you shot this on iPhone, how did you film scenes in very low light areas indoor and outdoor?
Thank you! An app like Filmic Pro lets you control ISO and shutter speed to really maximise low light quality. Some noise cleanup in post helped, too!

Thank you! Smartphone plates. Alien composited in Nuke :)

When I compare this to a smartphone shot film like tangerine I'm astounded at the quality differences. There's a lot of slow motion shots did you increase your frame rate to 120 and if so did that allow you to turn your shutter speed up to reduce the highlights of the sky or did you also use ND filters + only filming at certain times of the day? How did you avoid that harsh sunlight?
Thank you Rex! Yes, for the slow-mo I turned up my FR and also used ND filters. I mostly shot at golden hour! And used filmic pro to control all my settings.

Thanks! I used pretty much every Moment lens you can get at some point. Wide, Anamorphic, Tele, Macro. No microphones. Very occasional external Apeture handheld light, but mostly natural.

Thanks so much, Seth. Filmic Pro to allow for manual control of exposure and frame rate. Gimbal for steady movements. There's also a wheelchair we used in that first push shot ;) And a whole host of @moment lenses.
