I finally watch the Thriller Bark arc of One Piece, now I'm sharing my thoughts. #onepiece #anime #manga My Socials: TikTok: / itz_wheat Twitter: / wheatrp
Zoro's is the most tragic, since there was no big bad. His childhood rival just died due to falling down the stairs. Robin is probably the saddest overall, since her whole family and village was nuked by the Marines. But Choppers never fails to make me cry like a little bitch. Dr Hiriluk being such a good influence on the best boy Chopper, and showing that he's a true doctor by thanking Wapol for the fact that it was a trick, which meant nobody was hurt. This all happening while he's quickly dying due to a poisonous mushroom fed to him by Chopper that he graciously accepted due to Chopper thinking that it was a cure for his disease. And to top it off, the last thing he did was blow himself up just to make sure Choppers poisonous mushroom soup didn't kill him. "I've had a marvelous life! Thank you Chopper!"
Thanks I really appreciate your kind words! I plan on continuing with the rest of the series as I finish each arc, alongside other anime I end up watching.
@@im_WHEATbecause Oars was a huge set up. Moria set him up to be something gigantic and far more powerful than himself which is why he needed him as a manipulative zombie. Oars was his ticket.
I love the comedy in the dub from Dr Hogback, Gecko Moria and the bat messenger but, while I personally liked Absalom’s parts and his antagonisation towards Nami and Sanji, I admit it wasn’t really funny for me...
my favorite part of thriller bark was just seeing all the neat halloween themed characters. The designs and powers and backstories of all the different characters save the arc from being bad, but it's still bottom tier of OP arcs for me. I thought the story was just kind of okay and dragged out a little too much. I think Oars overstayed his welcome. there were several times it felt like he should have been defeated and would have felt like a good ending, only for him to just get back up again over and over. Oars himself never felt like the big bad like Gecko Moria was, yet 99% of the big fight at the end was vs. Oars and Gecko Moria with the shadows absorbed only showed up for like 2 episodes to get his ass kicked easily. Brook has a neat design and back story, but after thriller bark he just kind of falls off, not being badass enough to be a useful fighter, not really that useful on the ship, he's just kind of there and his jokes start to become annoying.
Brook didn’t have much time because right after we’re basically in Sabaody and then everyone is separated for a large portion. Also it depends. I love his jokes about mentioning he has no (x) because while he uses the expression he acknowledges there isn’t anything literally there. In such he is just an animate set of bones… with his afto 😂 The pants remark is literally just a sailor joke. Because he was alone and at sea for decades upon decades. It’s a reference to how prior to, sea fairing men eventually forget how a woman looks like. Not to mention how socially dead he is. Hell. Goku was patting crotches because he was socially dead. Even shows involving prisons mention this.
Which Straw Hat crew member has the saddest backstory ?

Thriller bark in terms of anime is probably the most padded one. It feels longer than it should’ve been.
Soul king on top thriller bark is an amazing arc
i agree 100% with the absalom part

I completely agree, great breakdown and explanation!
