Cliched premise, forced humor with bad timing, and zero chemistry between the 2 leads. The fake kiss was just proof how fake and forced everything was in the movie.
This is one of the most Flagrant episodes in recent times. I think Stephen A. Smith saying "Michael Jacksons from Gary Indiana, Mother Fucker" from the last episode has broken the winter ice.
They had so little chemistry and they never really felt like an actual couple. The fact that they didn’t kiss makes sense, and kinda validates that feeling of no chemistry between the couple.
But that's not a good thing. You want your actors to have chemisty. And as actors MAKE IT if you don't have it. And bro just kiss in the scene, it's their job.
I really thought Schulz was being satirical when he said it was CGI, but watching the scene in the movie, it's OBVIOUSLY CGI lmao that's actually kind of crazy... no wonder the movie seemed weird. 1. No chemistry between the two "lovers," 2. the editing/writing seemed crazy/rushed/poorly done. 3. The story has been told time and time and time and time again
The main critique of the show was that Lauren and Jonah had 0 on screen chemistry. The fact that she was really that annoying to not kiss in the role was ridiculous. They should have casted a girl who could actually act out the role.
I agree. The talent should not dictate the course of the film. If every writer/director started compromising to every like or dislike of the actor, movies would never turn out how they were envisioned by the creators who envisioned them. I probably would have replaced her with another actress if she couldn't perform the role as written. If they were trying to be sensitive to the passing of her husband, they could have just wrote her in as a supportive character who did not have any romantic interactions.
"The bomb wires?!?!" From akash had me actually laughing out loud. The 5/3 of a man joke was wrong af but I damn near cried laughing. I'm going to hell.
She kissed countless amounts of men and wouldn’t kiss Jonah lmao. I would take it as disrespect also. The romance was stale in that movie. The relationship was a bit awkward.
man, you can tell from the scene that it was CGI.. but yeah, I didn't notice it until he said it. But now it's absolutely obvious that the kiss wasn't real.
I mean, him defending the movie makes me think he doesn't know anything about cinema at all (with those arguments in the first 3min I felt cringy and sad).
At no point in the movie did I actually buy their chemistry and I think no one did. Couples kiss thats what they do and if youre going to make a movie and its central theme is around love and developing a relationship you gotta make it believable
Yeah to be fair I think being able to kiss eachother in a movie that involves romance or intimacy is a low tier requirement thats expected. You should at least be able to feel comfortable kissing eachother or not take the role. If im not comfortable being yelled at then I probably shouldnt be in a war movie.
@@AlGoreRhythm227 that movie just pushed the opposite of what they wanted to show. Whites people and black peoples don’t work, cus the chemistry was so non existent lol

I feel for you, I didn't even know Schulze was in the movie. I got halfway through and had to turn it off, I've never seen Eddie Murphy not funny and yet here we are.
Yeah like why not just get another actress to play that role? She was totally unsuited for the role and her refusing to kiss Jonah just seems a little petty and unprofessional 🤷♀️ I can understand if a well respected actress demanded this but Lauren London is too easily replaceable to be getting special privileges like this. IMO.
Its weird because it totally undercuts the message of the film. If they couldnt even fake a kiss for a movie, there is no way they would be together irl thus making the film pointless.
I don't think anyone is upset that they didn't kiss in the movie. I saw the reddit thread and most people were just questioning why they needed to cgi the kiss and not just make them do it for real. Considering the fact that the cgi did look very sloppy.
Yo randomly scrolling the internet and I saw an article on the fake kiss with a direct quote from Andrew and I was yup! He ain’t getting no more movies 😂
