Sorry but his reaction to NCT was totally understandable considering the fact that they were really bad and what he said was the truth. When he reacted to bts he always gave his honest opinions and that’s refreshing. He gave reasons explanations to why he don’t like some aspects of the song and performance. And although we don’t always agree, but we like his way of giving his opinions cause he always back them up with why he think that. Sorry that it wasn’t the same way towards nct. But like i said I don’t blame him cause well.. after seeing great performances and songs by other groups and bts, he didn’t feel the same energy with nct.

Yes! I think they feel more energized by army and they are less nervous. Jimin was especially nervous to me, from his outward appearance he seemed calm but also sort of withdrawn which I think is a giveaway he was more nervous. Their Mnet performance is much better I think, they are able to move freely on the stage with army chanting and singing with them. roguechevelle yeah I agree however I like how this sitting down performance seemed more intimate and let their vocals shine more, while the mnet performance had more of their personality and energy shine through. When jimin seems stoic at the first shot of him so he’s more reserved instead of the natural confidence displayed during their other make it right performance it didn’t fail his vocals so I’m happy for him and them all for this amazing performance. Glad more people are getting exposed to them

Yep he is and it would be good to judge his voice on one of his solo song. This song isn t the best in this case because in his two solo part Jin has JK as a back up.
Always enjoy the reactions. Jin is probably actually the 2nd best singer live behind JK. His vocal tone doesn't exactly fit every song, which is why he's often not one of the highlights as vocals, but he's always stable nonetheless.
I think Jimin is by far the shakiest and most unstable singer from all of them, even the rappers

Finally!!!!!!! And yes Jin has a really really really high voice. If you wanted Epiphany is his solo song that really showcases that. And lol I remember you saying that about him but that was defiantly deliberate he never misses those lines that was for show. Usually people have a prejudice against him cause he's the visual sadly they get a bad rep. I mean Jimin and Jhope were amazing to me but to each their own. I want to repeat it again Ed Sheeran participated in writing the song. Then the boys, their staff and ed sheeran produced it. Saying that Ed Sheeran did all the job for me is a bit underestimate BTS
The boys also has credited under writing & producing. Even tho if edshereen give the first draft of lyrics & melody, I believe that the boys have changed it here & there.. Like how rm talk in vlive. And remember when suga post that pic and say this for edshereen. Maybe he done with final stage. So it's better to say they have same share of writing & producing this song.
And for me when I read the lyrics I can confidently say that I feel the boys hearts thru this song.

suga wasn't happy with his verse/mic too and made them record it twice and he made jungkook harmonize with him and rap beside him like that
he didnt make Jk rap and harmonize with him because he wasnt pleased with his mic, thats how the original song is.

This performance, Hobi's vocals impressed me the most. The texture of his voice kinda like a bit growl but he delivered it so smoothly, ugh! I don't know how to explain it coz I don't know much about musical terms but ya'll know what I mean. It sounded so like if not better than the studio recording.

I really felt like they needed a sitdown performance. In America Kpop has a certain image so this was very cool. It highlighted the melody and their voices. Ed Sheeran sent them a demo. Rm wrote all the korean lyrics and Suga did a big portion of the producing as well as the rest of the big hit team. To not give them credit is to do this song an injustice.

I think reason Jhope came off weak to you was because he usually moves. In other live performances of this they are moving and Jhope expresses himself through his body. Suga and Jungkook were performing together during his verse so that's why his mic was adjusted that way. I like that you always give your honest opinion during your reactions thank you

I love jimin's falsetto. His vocal range is capable of hitting high notes flawlessly and effortlessly. His falsetto is much clear and so much more perceptible what he's saying. Falsetto is best to be sang with thin vocal folds and he just just did it perfectly.
Yes me too. Because jimin voice more angelic and soft. But yeah he doesn't have much falsetto. He voice are unique. 😊
@@noruuaya3391 That's what I was thinking. While others are using falsetto, he often is using head voice because his falsetto would be too high and not match up. I'm still learning, but I think he's using head voice here and not falsetto (but I could be wrong--I come from a piano/violin background with limited vocal knowledge).

I actually don't find Jimin's voice to be soft. There's this scratchy element to it I don't know how to call it. The way his throat tenses up at the beginning and end of line. I think that's what is preventing him from having a smooth and soft sounding falsetto that you would expect from his voice color.
@@jujuw587 It's a stylistic choice of singing called vocal fry. It's intentional and a singing technique used usually for more intimate settings like this one. And he's not singing in falsetto here but rather head voice. His falsetto is too high to match up to the others here. V and Jimin often have to adjust their technique the most because pop songs are designed for male tenors (like Jin and JK).
Edit: JM sings in mixed voice a lot, but the higher parts here he's singing in head voice. :)

When the very 1st time I listened to this song (On the radio while driving back from watching the AVENGERS 😅) , I can guess this is THE ED Sheeran song. It did have that American vibe in it, it did have the Ed vibe in it.. ( well it was all over the news that Ed give them a song) so.. that's it!!
Interesting, J-Hopes part moves me the most in the song. Everytime it comes on (on the album, not in the live performance) my heart clenches :( He truly puts in emotions there. The other analysis I agree with.

You should listen to Jungkook's English covers. He has a lot. My favorites are: 2U, Lost Stars, Paper Hearts, and Fools w/ RM. Jungkook sounds like and English speaker in his covers.
Jungkook is that vocalist who you are always confident about singing live and not worry about him, because we know he can always pull it off. He really deserves being the main vocals, he is not just stable live, he does ad libs and back tracks like a god, not to mention his flawless riffs and runs. I've never been disappointed by JKs performance.
Lol i am so nervous when you're giving reviews and critics as it' my performance, about jimin i think it's just this performance.
Music critics stated that Jungkook's falsetto was the one that stood out the most, and for music critics to say it in their review is very impressive, I believe Jungkook has the strongest falsetto, followed by Taehyung, Jin and Jimin. They are all good on their own, but this is what I hear from them. Jin is more of a belter in my eyes.

Jin has improved the most as a vocalist, I think he is the most stable while dancing on stage generally, I don't know what went wrong on that other live performance (that was unusual for him). Jimin has a voice tone that is generally high to begin with hence he sings soprano (if i am right) generally, so he was not exactly trying to sing falsetto here compared to others. V is a baritone so him singing falsetto just shows his vocal range. N Jungkook ofcourse being the main vocal almost always sings like he ate the CDs. He has a soft mid-range voice. I like how all BTS vocalists have different and unique voice colours that I generally don't see in k-pop (they might not be the best vocalists out there technique wise but they make the songs work really well), same for the rappers, all three have their own different style of rapping.
No jungkook is the most stable one while dancing
@@angelyuqi6709 after JK, Jin is most stable because he hits C5 in Fake Love while dancing. Jin is actually a belter. jk is ofc most stable

Anyway, reading all the comments saying you're like a teacher they want to approve of their kids (BTS) is so funny and accurate 😂😂 I especially felt it as you say "Nice" and "Good" when you heard something you liked. I got reminded of teachers who would encourage good parts in practice before moving on to parts to be improved upon hahahaha
Thinking about that though, I think that regardless of criticism, no one really needs approval for liking what they like. Just that it's important to exercise hearing opinion that differs from your own without feeling attacked, or thinking that the that person is the "enemy", or dismissing the opinion entirely. Hearing honest feedback that isn't aimed to attack is really important for anyone, especially for people who work in creatives/art/music/etc... I think this is also one of the reasons why BTS improved a lot over the years, because they have their staff and each other to critic without the fear of getting shamed, and help each other improve. I also think that hearing other opinions helps open up the mind. I used to not like rap AT ALL, and I preferred live instruments over produced sounds, but (after listening to and crying over Hamilton lol) I looked into rap and hip hop more, and then I watched producers explaining how the sounds in songs were produced, and I became fascinated. A whole new world opened up to me 😂 I thank Hamilton and BTS for that.

I think Jimin kind of uncomfortable because if you compare his performance of Make it right on their Mnet comeback show he delivers pretty well and I like it so much.
that was because he had very high level of MR and very little live singing out of that Mnet show... if you listen carefully.

I'm not here to argue with anyone, but all KR music shows... all groups even singing live, will have different level of MR backing for individual singers of the group, e.g. MR 70% and Live 30%, or MR 30% and Live 70% is a big huge difference. Go back to listen to the performance carefully with a headphone, and you will be able to tell if all of the vocals have the same MR% backing.

Jin never skipped any of his note before and I think he did it that time to prove they sing live not lip syncing suga did it before in one of the award shows, by the way Jin’s vocal was praised by the Grammy committee saying that his vocals are considered a “silver voice”, and it was mentioned indirectly that the reason why bts won a KMA for Fake Love was because of Jin’s vocal

Jimin is a perfectionist and known to be really hard on himself so I think he tends to overthink and doesn’t wanna disappoint being on American tv and all but it ends up backfiring on him bc if you see his performance on all the Korean music shows he’s so relaxed and his delivery is on point. I personally don’t even notice or pay attention to his technicalities so it doesn’t bother me much as long as it sounds good, which it does for me bc he has a really pretty voice but I just wish he was comfortable.
Also it’s so great seeing Jin getting appreciation for his vocals considering how much he has improved coming from no background in singing to this is commendable. His live performance for epiphany is one of the most beautiful things to witness I get goosebumps every time. Everybody that has ever went to their concert cries during that song it’s that touching...check it out.
While you’re at it check out their performance at KBS song festival all 7 of them perform their solo off LY:Answer and it’s amazing. You’ll also get to witness how well jimin performs when he’s comfortable and in his own element. Also vocalist Suga👀

I just want you to know that a large part of US ARMY are focused on steams, sales and radio requesting. The radio is the hardest by far. DJs and station managers are hesitant often times out of xenophobia to play BTS but I promise you, there will come a day BTS is on all radio stations. Currently we’re #21 on Top Radio Songs and climbing. BTS makes excellent music and we won’t stop until their name is as mainstream as Adele or Drake.

this stage attracted a lot of attention from the general public...after the performance was over a lot of people were saying they loved the guy on the pink mic (Jin lol) and others that had seen their dancing on other mainstream shows said they were highly impressed with just them sitting there and singing.
