Agree. Even though I would add Kiske. In his case it was the other way around: He´s to blame to wanting play soft metal. Kiske threw away a great career, as Accept did with firing Udo.

@@neonsunsets-the80schannel97 I noticed that you're wearing an Ultimate Warrior t-shirt which is from the mid-'80s professional wrestling era and also when Russian Roulette album was released. In my opinion, Restless And Wild is the freakiest, totally killer album because its got the vintage Accept melodic style and menacing, evocative lyrics and fabulous guitar shredding like Mick Mars does on Too Fast For Love Motley Crue album.

1983..........serving in US ARMY.........when 'Fast As a Shark' began........I was never the same after that. ALL metal bands owe ACCEPT a debt of gratitude. (Saw them at L'Amours in BrooklynNY soon after)
Yet everyone used to bag me for loving these songs and albums, until the Metallica thing happened ;)
they didn't even wanted to make "Fast As A Shark" track at first...... really glad they did, cause that is like one of the best Speed Metal songs ever written, up there with "Painkiller" definitely...... it's so brutal with perfect chorus
I will always remember the moment I heard "fast as a shark " for the first time, so fast and brutal. German quality right through just like the cars that I also like.

Für mich ist und war die Trennung von Dirkschneider / Accept die wohl größte Katastrophe der deutschen Musikgeschichte und des Metalls. Hier konnte man mal wieder sehen, dass nur zusammen echte Musikmagie entstehen kann. Frage mich immer wieder warum und wie es sein kann, dass so geniale Bands z.B. Accept oder Queen sich von aussenstehenden Idioten zerstören lassen... Hoffe UDO ROCKT noch mit 90 die Bühne!

I remember seeing UDO and the band he was in back in the 1980's in Colorado Springs, Colorado...
They were playing with another band at a bar there in town, and I just had to go and see both of the bands...
I got lucky and had a chance to meet with some of the band members and toke on some tasty buds😂😂😂...

Loved that interview. Wish there was a Part II somewhere talking about his coming back to Accept.
Udo is one man I'd love to have a beer with and just thank him for a tremendous career that, I hope, continues on for a long time.
There's nothing wrong with loving both U.D.O. and Accept. They're both bad ass. I'm sad when people can't get along for silly reasons. It happens.

kam die Trennung.Gar nicht nachvollziehen konnte ich dann nach der Reunion und den Scheiben
" Objektion Overruled " sowie " Death Row " das völlig aus der Art schlagende
" Predator " Album.Und für Udo war da dann auch das Maß wohl endgültig voll.

Klasse Interview:-) , Einzig warum man sich als Gründer der Band von den anderen aus der Band schmeißen lässt versteh ich nicht , hätten die anderen man Lieber ne eigene Band gegründet
Ein sehr gutes, lustiges und aussagekräftiges Interview; aber den Song "Heidiheido" gibt es allerdings auf einem ( zumindest mir bekannten) Sampler, mit dem Namen "Le III e Reich", auf dem allerhand historische Songs enthalten sind, u.a. auch eben den o.a.

Accept played Fast as a shark two days ago in Lausanne so i could hear the intro Heidi Heido Heida (i'm french) ;) , never thought they were labelled as nazis , my father saw them in 86's in France i guess it was fine , my family introduced me to Accept basicly :D , Mom always loved the intro aswell
Seit den 1970er Jahren bin ich firm beim Pop und Rock. Aber von diesem Herrn UDO habe ich noch nie etwas gehört, was mich wundert, auch wenn mir Accept schon ein begriff ist. Besonders erfreulich ist, dass UDO wahrscheinlich aus Wuppertal kommt, wo doch die Deutschen im Internationeln Pop immer nur hinten anstanden. Besonders den neuen Hit Rose of the Dessert finde ich hervorragend. Riecht nach mehr. Vielleichjt kann mal einer ein Video von Rose of the dessert einstellen, bei RUclips gibts da nichts.

It's in some vault in Sydney. Alex Young, the writer (Angus' older brother), wrote in his will he didn't want it released.
It's not that "Balls to the Wall" was better than MetalHeart and Russian Roulette was worse, but totally, the opposite: Every new album got better and better! Russian Roulette was the absolute best !!! Especially songs like Heaven is Hell, Walking in the Shadow, Aiming High, etc. I still remember this exclipt haunting me all the time: "I hope we all know those powers... they're everywhere.... They're talking strange about facts... (somewhat changed, my own interpretation of lyrics)" Just Magic! Its always heart-warming to hear a conversation with Udo, because he's just an interesting person, as well as Bruce Dickinson. Many good old vocalists are great on stage, but interviews make no sense. But here its a way different.

+Neon Sunsets - The 80´s Channel Yea, also saw Maiden in 84 in St Louis on the WST, Twisted Sister opened up, show was right before Christmas . The WST was like the longest tour ever.

I wonder if no more Accept songs is a legal issue between the two bands. When asked if he will ever play Balls to the Wall he always says "not while Accept are still playing".
In another interview I heard him saying there is no point in udo playing accept songs whilst accept is also active and playing the same songs live. I dont think there is a legal reason.
Er soll und muss diese Trennung der Dinge durchziehen U.D.O. ist U.D.O. , da gehören keine Accept Sachen in den Set....aber unter dem Synonym Dirkschneider dann und wann ne Tour machen mit nem reinen Accept Set...joa. Wäre schön. Meine Meinung

Pity for Udo, that his band members did such shit to him after all time playing and going to the top together. It's real betrayal, and even nowadays we can see Udo a bit feel bad about it.
