I remember when we sang this song after a choral competition, that day, that moment I promised myself not to miss heaven. It was as if we were already in heaven singing cos the goosebumps on my skin that day made me feel how the Amgels sing over in heaven.
I absolutely agree with all those who say why change Charles Wesley’s words just for the sake of “modernising” it’s the same sacrilege as changing Shakespeare. But what a great tune is Blaenwern, I love the way it rises on the last four lines of each verse,.
What a great hymn of heaven gifted to men, lifting hearts with eternal joy and bringing hope to many over the years! Nothing is really strong enough to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus!
Oh I do so agree with you. The "old English" is more beautiful & moving than the modern version. Love the old versions more. If it ain't broke, DONT FIX IT!!!
Very powerful words and powerful voices. Very tender and touching Song. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏😭 what a day when the ALMIGHTY God RETURNS. Let's turn over our lives to the ALMIGHTY God Before it's too late. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 to 14 . And please to Remember that THERE'S No Repentance in the Grave.
There are so many great songs, but a song which praises Jesus Christ is the undying monument indeed of the power of God Almighty delivered to earth through Him. Nothing else measures to the fullness of God's wonderful paternal love .
Man, I wish I was British and could attend this. This sounds incredible! I don’t think I’ve seen so many people singing and worshiping together in one place. Maybe at a Billy Graham crusade but I don’t think that even had such music. Now days if there’s a time of singing the old hymns, it would be a crowd aged 70+. Went to a gospel concert with my mom a few years ago and I felt like the only millennial in the room.
Im 29 and I love the old hymns, I’d love to hear original ones like this in Spanish, and you’re right most Christians don’t like the older hymns but there some like us. Guide me o thou great redeemer one of my favorites. :)
People in England Wales sing in choirs a lot or at least they used to. Congregations in churches , too, sang better than those in New Zealand unfortunately.
For those who prefer to sing the authorised version - have at it: Love divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heaven to earth come down, Fix in us Thy humble dwelling, All Thy faithful mercies crown. Jesus, Thou art all compassion, Pure, unbounded love Thou art; Visit us with Thy salvation, Enter every trembling heart. Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit, Into every troubled breast! Let us all in Thee inherit; Let us find Thy promised rest. Take away our love of sinning; Alpha and Omega be; End of faith, as its Beginning, Set our hearts at liberty. Come, almighty to deliver, Let us all Thy grace receive; Suddenly return, and never, Never more Thy temples leave. Thee we would be always blessing, Serve Thee as Thy hosts above, Pray, and praise Thee, without ceasing, Glory in Thy perfect love. Finish then Thy new creation, Pure and spotless let us be; Let us see Thy great salvation, Perfectly restored in Thee: Changed from glory into glory, Till in heaven we take our place, Till we cast our crowns before Thee, Lost in wonder, love, and praise!
Awesome Love GOD gave humanity though few acknowledge this ever lasting love! May one day this love Love is embraced by the whole world to make it a better place for everyone to live in! Enjoy the hymn.
This is from a whole evening of hymns by all the joined Wesh Choirs and others of a celebration of over a thousand Wesh voices.the festival use to take place every four years. The last time I went I was so moved I was reduced to tears!
It's actually from London, not many Welsh singers there actually. Prom praise. Happens every year. We'll be having it this Saturday again. You can join the livestream.
You're confusing this with the Festival of Welsh Male Choirs, which is indeed a massed choirs concert at the Royal Albert Hall. This is not that. The singing by the entire Hall of Blaenwern from that occasion, ( recorded and viewable here: ruclips.net/video/Y6UZF8_BQLg/видео.html ) is better, because (i) they haven't messed about with the original Wesley text, as they've done here; and (ii) because the Royal Albert Hall organ is more than capable of leading this magnificent hymn without the excessively twiddly distraction coming from this orchestral arrangement. All the singers performing here deserve a medal for being able to follow it. My two-penneth worth, but each to their own I suppose.
From Philippines, I don't even know most of these songs. Where are the songs from Hosanna Music, Casting Crowns, "Jesus Take the Wheel", and Vineyard classics? They are the most famous here that are from the west.
Not sure why they felt the need to change the words. Thy to You. I hate when people do that. The original words that have been sung for centuries and are loved but millions work perfectly fine. Feel like these updates were made by a high schooler who only knows basic English.
I agree! somebody had the urge to 'update' the original it seems, it's not an improvement, including the thee and thou! Why anyway!! Who would dream of updating Shakespeare for example?! 😥😣
Love Divine, All Loves Excelling Love divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heav'n to earth come down! Fix in us your humble dwelling, All your faithful mercies crown. Jesus, source of all compassion, Love unbounded, love all pure; Visit us with your salvation, Let your love in us endure. Come, almighty to deliver, Let us all your life receive; Suddenly return and never, Never more your temples leave. Lord, we would be always blessing, Serve you as your hosts above, Pray, and praise you without ceasing, Glory in your precious love. Finish then your new creation, Pure and spotless, gracious Lord, Let us see your great salvation Perfectly in you restored. Changed from glory into glory, Till in heav'n we take our place, Till we sing before the almighty Lost in wonder, love and praise.
Nice track! At least something worthwhile to listen to during Christmas Season in Christian Europe. Very convenient when the Christian Women believe i9n the Second Coming of Kristina, because....
99% sure that's Reuben Morgan from Hillsong singing and Matt Redman with the guitar. Love this song, but this version is a bit busy for me with all of the strings and unorthodox key changes and harmonies. Still wonderful, however.
If praising God on earth be so sweet what joy then awaits us in heaven…
Oh I can hardly wait!!
So exciting FACE TO FACE me blubbering my thankful ❤ and at same time filled with immeasurable JOY!!!
Truly, this Wonderful, ; so greatly hunger for and anticipate the Heavenly One!

@@patriciachapman1945 Why, where are you off to...?
Why change the words of Charles Wesley? Pure unbounded love thou art Love that is free and not bound
Yes why?
So agree. This is a most fabulous hymn and the original words are perfect; they do not need to be 'modernised'.
To change Wesley's magnificent poetry is an abomination.
I absolutely agree with all those who say why change Charles Wesley’s words just for the sake of “modernising” it’s the same sacrilege as changing Shakespeare. But what a great tune is Blaenwern, I love the way it rises on the last four lines of each verse,.
Beautiful, spirit filled praise to our King of Kings, our Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus for all you have done.
What better sound of God's love, thank you for sharing.
What a great hymn of heaven gifted to men, lifting hearts with eternal joy and bringing hope to many over the years! Nothing is really strong enough to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus!
I think Charles Wesley now in heaven must be very pleased to see this hymn of his being sung by such a multitude of people…
A magnificent timeless hymn wonderfully arranged and whole heartedly sung.
I was somewhere in the audience for this. Still gives me goosebumps! ❤️
Goosebumps!!! 🥺🔥
Love divine, all loves excelling!... Spot on rendition! 🤌💫

One of Charles Wesley's great hymns which was sung at the funeral service for HM Queen Elizabeth II
Yes, an absolutely beautiful rendition that was. I have heard this hymn at various services over the years at which the Royal Family was in attendance
Having celebrated two Christmas concerts at the Royal Albert, I can tell you the experience is awe inspiring
Jesus Christ is the one and only Lord forevermore. He is the only King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As it says in 1 Timothy 6:15. Amen, hallelujah.
