    A great video and I’m so so sorry that you came to Edinburgh at a time when our garbage collectors went on strike. The festival was in full swing at the time too so the city would have been at its busiest.
    If you ever come back please do reach out to me, I’d personally like to pay for your entry to the castle I didn’t know that was a thing with only buying online.
    May/June is often a great time to visit.

    Thank you. We were trying to decide if we should book the excursion to the mile. This seems to be the way to go.

      Glad this gave you another way to get there. No need to spend money on an excursion.

    Thanks for sharing! Will you guys be able to make it to see the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel? How about Stirling Castle or Oban? So much in Scotland to see. I've been wanting to go there and see where my Scottish ancestors came from for a long time as I mentioned in my comment on your last video they came from next door to your Munro ancestors (Ross) in the highlands.

    You can get tickets for the castle if you don’t have internet on site if they are not sold out. There will be a line.

    Do the buses stop at the tender pier for all cruise lines? We're on Princess in July 2024. My husband is determined to get out to Doune Castle, but we're having difficulty figuring out how to get there.

    Thanks for the information. This is Joe from "Travels With Joe & Ely". We travel a lot, mostly on cruises and we will be cruising to South Queensferry/Edinburgh this August on Holland America.
    With regards to the bus, is it easy and do they require exact fare? Which stop did you get off to go to the castle? Thanks!

      Edinburgh is an easy city to do on your own. The city has bus service from the tender pier. There is a person standing in front of the bus whom you pay before getting on. That ticket is also good for the city buses once you arrive there. They drop you near the rail road station and from there it is a short walk to the Royal mile and this is where all of the tourists go. The Royal mile apparently is a mile and it connects the castle with the palace. Make sure you buy tickets for the castle online before you get there, otherwise you cańt see it. To navigate the streets and buses you can use google map directions.

    My wife would like to know the name of your crossover bag?

    • @bztravel
      @bztravel  Год назад

      I purchased the bag on Amazon. It is a Travelon brand. I also use pacsafe bags too. They are pick pocket resistance and perfect for traveling. All kinds of sizes and colors. This bag in the video is nice because it doesn't stand out and holds quite a bit. She will feel safe caring these bags. You can lock them on a chair too.
