this is a song worth waking up to
Gregory Decker i've been listening everyday I wake up this week
I'm so glad someone wrote this.
Everyday for 5 years str8 now u damn posers lol love ya just playing but for real tho
I woke up Saturday morning at my lady’s house and played this song. She absolutely loved it. This song has an inspirational effect that resonates through my soul. I just heard it last week for the first time. I haven’t stop playing it yet!
this is a mourning/after funeral song. hurting, feeling dark, attempting to take in the environment but can't help but feel that your old life is over and a new life begins now that you suffered this loss
Lmao
+473x74dn3r Or it could be something positive, like changing your life for the better. Like quitting heroin and moving on to try to live a normal life.
People shouldn't be able to comment until they turn 18....
Wow I get something totally different lmao
With all endings is a new beginning. I hear you. I get a different vibe but I can see your meaning.
This song brings back some of the best memories. Waking up in the morning to this song and getting to the grind.
This should be played so so much more often ! ! Everywhere!
OMG, i am a big fan of both, Wax Tailor and Nina Simone, for years now, and until tonight I never knew about this work. How come??? 🤔🤔🤔😮
I can NOT get enough Wax....his mood sets me just right. and im all outta bud...so thats downright impressive.
The man the myth the musician... Wax tailor.
I dunno, this song would fit a post-apocalypse setting. It just feels like... decay. Super cool sound!
yes totally like deltron 3030? reminded me of that right away one of my favorite albums
I could see them playing it during a scene where Michonne cuts off 50 zombie heads in slo-mo; I can see the appropriateness. I must say, I usually think of something a bit more positive while I listen to it...birds fly in the sky, it's a new dawn, it's a new day. My thoughts are not apocalyptic most times. And I thank all of the Super Best Friends for that, & my wife, my daughter, and my granddaughter, + the homeless person I will give a dollar to, today. Peace out, gotta go do that now. Of course, I hope I do not see any on my drive, that we all have national healthcare like all other civilized nations have had for decades, that Trump died in his sleep from natural causes (side effects of orange hair sauce) and that we can all just get along. But I think I'll be handing out that dollar at the first stop light I reach, like most days. But it's a new dawn!
Kinda like that movie "Eli"
Never gets old
i love you nina. ty for everything you ever did. this will always shine.
Awesome music...I have now played this everyday like 10 times over and over with some of the other wax tailor songs. I was listening to 1940 by the submarines amp remix and someone suggested this on the comments section. I am eternally grateful.
wax tailor is untouchable. no one else does this. the pinnacle.
dmlevitt Who is the guy singing?
MisterUrbanWorld it's a woman. her name is Nina Simone.
TheMmiller42 Wow, just looked up her other songs, and she sounds like a man to me.
MisterUrbanWorld I thought the same the first time I heard it
@@dmlevitt Smh, dude what is your problem? I know you're looking for a reaction, but that comment was posted 6 years ago. Thanks for reminding me about this song. I'm going to listen to it now.
This song inspires me every time I hear it
this song is such an amazing song as for I recently heard it as for my life has recently turned awesome because it is going great as for a door of an amazing opportunity opened up and listening to it is just wonderful!!!!
jerry hernandez its making me happier at work!!!

CLASSIC
That song was delightful. The music was the best part. It gave me this wonderful feeling. I loved it from start to finish. Very delightful! :)
Cant get enough of wax tailor epic! this song is spine tinglingly good song tho ooft
This is officially on my life soundtrack.
Wax lifts me up where I can actually feel a knew dawn is in reach... Good Musicians keep the spirit of humanity - that of love and freedom - from being completely buried under the overwhelming hatred, ugliness, bigotry and cruelty of the unfortunate who know neither of them.
Reading comments from 3 years ago is a trip. I hope someone reads this in 2021.
2022
Such a beautiful photo to go along with this enchanting song
pure chill
Wax Tailor n'est tellement pas assez connu face à son talent! Je rève de le voir Live. :)
en plus peu de gens savent qu'il est français
@@Sorana2456Et moi qui pensait qu'il était canadien! :O
How does this have 82 thumbs down? Who are these people?
right!! that is what I was thinking!
fuck em! "you know how I feel!"
Diane Taha its dumb people that reconize the sample and think he "stole" it cuz they are simpletons
Um...82 insane people? I never thought of looking at # of thumbs down on songs I like. It is strange, though. A person takes the time to listen to a song, so that they can mark thumbs down.
That's how I feel.
Just amazing music!
best song of wax tailor =)
MY GOD... I WASTE 16 YEARS OF MY LIFE WITHOUT KNOWING THIS MUSIC!!!! ITS AWESOME!!!
I'll be the first to say that this is a seriously badass track.
This is an awesome song really describes feeling
From earth to heaven,,,

the picture and this song reminds me of the end of Melancholia (really great movie!!!)
oh my god. I've been stuck on nina simone for a few weeks now and just got into wax tailor...you...you...ARE AWESOME. Thank you for doing this!
Nice! Thank you! I just heard this on Cable TV and came to search for it here.
Beautiful !!
A Great Group.
My favorite song!! :))))))
I love the audio sample from One flew over the cookoo’s nest!
The original artist who performed this song was Cy Grant and it was originally written by two Broadway writers for a musical which I will leave to the viewers to research. Nina Simone was the first to notably cover the song.
Otherwise, this is a cool take on the song.
How the hell did I first hear this now? Thank you Pandora!
im just dreaming! THX. WAX!
awesome song.
powerful
How weird it is to think that one day this will be the only version of this song people know, just like with so many songs already
Oh, Nina hits me every time. But there are so many renditions of this.
This is my first time hearing this version wondering how it's this old and I haven't yet lol
BEST track everrr :)

Sweet Mix. I like it... Soul Massage :)
Wax tailor , that whasshup

There's one band on wax tailors level and it's edgar winter group.
hope this is as bomb as the say yes instrumental! SWEEEEEEEEEEET! :D
this song makes me feel funny. the lyrics are uplifting, but the backing track seems dark. I love it regardless, but I just cant help but feel like it's sort of out of place.
YOU'RE OUT OF PLACE!!!!! lol, jk
Nina Simone.
Case and point
@AphelionXII thanks
Can you guys recommend me your favorite songs by Tailor? I LOVE this song like mad!!
Que sera, exordium, hypnosis theme and am i free are my favorites :D
TheRenegadeRainbow I like the entire "Tales of Forgotten Melodies" album
Its a new day its a new dawn.. still a nightmare
AYESEE GOT ME HERE #DOTO #KAPPA #AYESEE
Took me a while to find this version. There are so many, and all of them arent close to good.
I first heard this song whilst experimenting with DXM,and oh man i was somewhere else. Edit : guys stay away from this stuff, it’s nasty and bad for you. Lsd and shrooms are the way to go.
isn't that pretty much just cough syrup?
oh yeah
Lol, right on. I remember trying that back when I was still in high school
The true beauty of this world exists all around us, every single moment, we just often lose sight of it with the materialism, fear, and hate
lol I'm pretty sure that's how I found out about this song. tripping with my pandora stations on shuffle.
Dude most people don’t understand how serious a DXM Trip is. People like “it’s just cough syrup”... You have no idea.
I remember dropping a bottle of robos on the way to a school trip a few hours away in the desert. We took a stop in a middle of nowhere town and all I remember is standing in the middle of a field trying to take a piss because I had to go so bad and it felt like FOREVER before I could actually pee. I actually love that drug; I’ve never done more than 300mg and almost always feel like I’m literally dying at that amount.
Lots of stories of kids who take the wrong kind and die which is horrible. I’ve also heard stories of people on high doses who die in their sleep because they stop breathing... It’s not something to F around with TBH, and if you’ve never tripped on it before and go into it thinking it’s no big deal you’d be in for a rude awakening.
PS - Don’t do drugs kids...
Un bon son a la frenchi :)
Wax Tailor brought me here.
NUFF SAID
every time this comes on i think for a split second its mine the i get this :-/ common wax give me something to fight
Gah damnnnn They did this too? I love these mother fuckers
I feel like this song would be a good theme for the new Moonknight series. Fits Marc’s persona and the fact that no one really knows how he’s feeling since dude is pretty much insane
I'd use this in a sound track for a classic mythos werewolf movie/show. Not just the moon pic, but I'd place it the morning after a bite infection. -
I used to love smoking to this, now i get paranoid from weed :( but i still love this song so deepp but is miss my weed
I like how people think this is a real picture... its cool but how? Do others see planets going down on the horizon? Besides the moon
Joe Louis 🔥
They're not moving, but they're subtly changing color.
holy shit man, no it isn't but it really looks like it is.
who else noticed the colours changing on the pic?
Does anyone know who's background artwork that is? Was hoping to get a print
Bruh I recognize a sample every few seconds 😂 . This might be one of the most sampled songs not made by James Brown.
Idk why people always say stuff like "this song helped me through a break-up" or "this song helped me prevent suicide" like wtf corny ass dudes looking for easy thumbs up lol just enjoy the song yes some songs trigger certain emotions but just enjoy it don't over analyze things
It's also possible to "under-analyze," as you've just shown.
+Shane Pierce just my opinion tbh
+Erick Bernal Fair enough.
+Shane Pierce I like you.
At 4:14,this is Peter campbell from mad men
I like it. Anthony Newley, who wrote it, may not have, but he was a huge egotist. A loveable one, but... Yeah, I like it.
