to explain the whole shenanigans at the beginning, basically because the concept for that album is 'self produce' and they like a production company, so you see their shirt says svt-specialized videotape technology (it still means seventeen but for this comeback, they do that), that's why they doing everything on their own for example cleaning the practice room, setting the camera, prepping for practice. you can see this concept in their music video actually. they bring that concept to this dance practice also.

If you remember, Seventeen's "Clap" is supposed to be all about how Seventeen are a self-produced group. That is why they created the funny part at the beginning of the dance practice showing them doing everything themselves. (You don't need to understand what they are saying to understand what is happening.) But that isn't necessarily how they prepare to film all their dance practices. That part of the dance practice video was done special because of the theme of the song.
The lyrics of the song are about how they hope people clap for them and they want to receive a lot of applause, etc. because they put a lot of personal effort into everything they do. If you have seen the MV, the whole theme of the video is about how they create everything themselves. The MV shows them creating the sets and holding meetings to discuss the production, and editing the video, etc. Therefore the start of the dance practice is a continuation of that storyline.

For real they are INSANE!! I've tried many times to randomly pause their practice videos and every time each one of them is in the same position as the rest, it's crazy 🤯 Let me tell you something, it has nothing to do with the number of dancers! because even if they danced by units(5-4 members) they're still the same! they said it themselves that they don't have weak dancers! all of them could be main dancers in other groups 🔥🔥 The Kings of Synchronization 👑
