    Looks very similar to steamer hill in Rollag, you know if that yellow panel truck is on a 4wd suburban frame, I just happened to see it in the background of the video, pretty cool, Alan on Trinity dairy had some similar videos like this one too, there all fun to see

    • @crazydave4455
      @crazydave4455  Год назад

      They have a pretty good collection of early gas for the show size. I didn’t look at the panel truck. I was at White Pines show as well, trinity did a video but I’m pretty sure he was there Sunday and I was there Saturday.

    What brand of tractor is that at 3:08? Also, is the Rumely engine considered a hit & miss type(4:50)? It sounds like it's not firing regularly, like a hit and miss.

    Those prairie tractors are really cool. All kinds of different models and makes. Thanks for the video! Are there many more shows left in the season? By far, lots and lots more shows up there in Minnesota than here in North Florida. 🇺🇲🚜👍

      @crazydave4455  Год назад +1

      This is the last large show of the season I’m aware of. There are probably a few little threshing bees still around somewhere. I’ve been to one every weekend since Nowthen 😁

    I really hoped to make it to Albany. Wife had other plans though! We ended up in Nowthen at their threshing show grounds a Rendezvous Reenactment camp event. Looks like Albany was a blast as usual! Side Note, I picked up an Oliver 252 Disc to go with my 770 and 4230 plow! I also ordered all the parts I need to hopefully finish my Dyno rebuild.

      Albany is getting be a big show, as far as attendance lots of people there on Saturday. If I’m around I’ll try and go to the rendezvous one of these times (it is so close!) congrats on the Oliver disc, I see them come up once in a while but they usually want big 💵💵

    • @BillTheTractorMan
      @BillTheTractorMan Год назад

      @@crazydave4455 I would say I did pretty well on this one. Needs 2 bearings and has a couple broken disks. Otherwise it is a nice straight unit. The Rendezvous is really fun, different then a Threshing show. You have to jump in and start talking to folks to find the hidden gems within the camp. I know a few people within the reanactors so the 7hrs we were there we were well entertained.

    Great video. How would they start these normally w/o another tractor on the belt?
    Through a genealogy contact I got a photo of a threshing scene with a Aultman & Taylor 30-60 gas tractor in it. My late grandma's uncle Joe (1879-1931) apparently had a threshing business in at least the teens and 20s per census info and the photo likely of some of his equipment.

    • @crazydave4455
      @crazydave4455  Год назад

      I actually left out some failed hand start attempts. Some you hand spin or kick over the flywheels, other were barred over, different styles of hand cranks and some early IH even had pony motors with a friction drive. My Rollag video from last year has a bunch more different starts of some of prairies.
      Pretty cool finds in some of those old pictures. Now if that tractor is hiding in the woods somewhere, I’d be on my way!
      Thanks EE
