    It is beautiful how they talk to each other with their instruments in a very intimate way💞💞

    What year was this recorded in?

    @ericoschmitt 10 лет назад

    @TheTradge Listen to Maurice Marechal, it is the first recording. He learned it from Debussy in person.

      Anyone knows why some comments are not "replyable"?

    As much as I love the playing of Martha Agerich ,I must admit, I agree with those who feel the last movt is taken at too quick a tempo. Not my favorite interpretation of this work.

    Are you reading off a heavily edited score?

    This has to be one of the worst directed videos ever, but the music making is good. I find the Alexandre Tharaud recording preferable, personally.

    Hate this, a lot of the faster tempi are TOO fast IMHO, didn't really give me enough time to fully appreciate the music! Also I don't know what it is about performances of this piece, but a lot of performances COMPLETELY ignore half the musical directions in the score, this is one of these performances! The crescendi, etc are there for a reason!!

    simply too fast. the last movement. ridiculous. It simply says "Anime" which does not mean fast or presto. I don't care how many people play it this way; it's just wrong. We have to play the COMPOSER'S tempo, not our own. And we shouldn't go by the publisher's metronome marking either, because they are often NOT indicated by the composers. Debussy himself hated the metronome and providing indications in the score, because the tempos often change throughout. The only reason Argerich and MM are playing this pieces so fast is because THEY CAN. Not a valid reason, as a serious musician.
