Oh, and one more question - I wonder how to do the setup in the way that I'll have one central Zabbix server that will monitor multiple locations and I'd like to give people possibility to only configure hosts for their location. So imagine I have central zabbix server, I then have location... say London and location Paris. I want to give the IT administrators from London possibility to add / configure monitored hosts only in their London site and to the Paris IT folks only items in the Paris location - so that the Paris guy cannot go and add/change/delete any host for the London site. I believe in Zabbix 3.x this is not possible but with Zabbix 4.0 there should be some way - maybe using tags. But I didn't explore that yet. Any idea?
if you are using different server as proxy, you need to reconfigure zabbix-agent on the monitored server to accept connection from proxy server so in active server ip you put the main and the proxy. he did not do it because he was using the same machine. good luck ; )
So, I have a zabbix server on site A or city A,, and then I need to monitor on site B in city B just using internet connection (without vpn) and I want to use zabbix proxy on site B,, so I just need install proxy on site B and configure the server to site A,, am I right?
buenas hermano tengo una pregunta que hace este proxy en realidad soy nuevo en zabbix y si me lo pudieras explicar de una manera sencilla estaria agradecido. tambien tengo otra pregunta instale zabbix en debian 8 y estoy agregando dispositivos como router o switch lo que no se es donde se guarda los datos que captura el servidor por snmp si los guarda en el mismo servidor o donde. saludos.
Quizas ya sepas la respuesta pero un zabbix proxy sólo recolecta los parametros de equipos en una localidad aparte para luego enviarselo al servidor zabbix, en pocas palabras le quita carga de trabajo de monitoreo de equipos en otra ubicación.

Then the data recollected will be saved in duplicated way in Zabbix Server Mysql and Zabbix Proxy Mysql?
