I love the ‘simplicity’ of his style. Not all kind of fancy head movement or complex side steps. ‘Just’ a lot of in and out movement with high volume in punches. He trains this for so long that he’s a true master of it and he outboxes everyone with it.
Bivol and Naoya are my favorite fighters today.
He bobs just like usyk vulnerable to uppercuts

Bivol doesn’t sit down on his punches by design opting for constant fleet feet. His high volume of punches makes up for the lack of knockouts

That's why Canelo was not able to catch him. Even David Benavidez was predicting before the fight that Alvarez would be able to time and counter Bivol's one-two combo coming in. No such luck. Bivol has many more tools than straight punches -- plus his quick in & out movement, always in balance is super hard to beat.
@@alsantoshsantana8803 Canelo don’t counter these days. He just throws overhand rights and left hooks. Any decent boxer with a good jab and some footwork would outbox him.
@@jaydenvu7203 I'd have to watch the Munguia fight again. I agree with you over the last few fights, up to his match with Ryder. But I believe that after the shoulder operation, he's come back to some of the Canelo of old form (Charlo & Munguia). On the other hand, he's always had trouble with "movers". So you're right that good footwork beats him.
And he doesn't want to hurt his hands. Smart boxing.

Interesting how Bivol had slique head movement as an amateur, but it disappeared as a pro. Pro Bivol depends on a high guard and inches for defense.

if i had to guess relying head movement is just too risky against the world's best boxers bc any punch that lands coming from the opposite direction of your head movement will be utterly brutal

I told people before the Canelo fight that Bivol would be a much harder fight than even GGG but no one believed that. There was no doubt in my mind that Bivol would win that fight. Beterbiev however will be a true test of his talents if he heals from the knee injury.

The Cuban and Soviet schools are how I molded my style …… because they incorporate technique , footwork , and fundamentals in essence if you have the correct fundamentals you can punch hard without trying to punch hard

Bivol is undoubtedly a very special and rare fighter. He belongs up there with Crawford, Inoue and Usyk. If Bivol beats Beterbiev, he could arguably be the P4P king, imo.
