@@inS41NT because is the only hand in his opponents range that made sense to him that could’ve got there on the river . Since A3s would’ve had a flush draw on the flop and got runner runner straight .
@@inS41NT as the guys above me said, he was replaying the hand in his head and realized A3ss was a possible hand his opp could have had based on him calling flop, calling turn and then shoving the river.
Uh.. ok, GREAT folds by Matt- Damn good player... but .. WHERE'S THE REST OF THIS?? Now you make me want to see how it ends! Hell, at least post the link to this one, so we can find out!
The thing is in poker, each hand is different either if you fold or see the river. A3s was losing on the flop and the turn with a not-so wet board but favoring the ranges of the others a lot more. Especially in this stage of the tournament you cannot afford to just recklessly call with a gutter straight draw. It's one of the best advices I've gotten; analyze certain hands after the game but do not sustain emotions related to past hands. Focus on what's to come and how your opponents play during the hands you've folded. Also, I'm not saying it's *not* worth mentioning, it's just that the % of chance of A3s winning was insanely low on the flop already. It's not affordable to call flop and turn to see a river card that might give you the straight. Matt even thought about A3 of spades when the 44 went all-in, that's a crazy read imho cause he put him on something better than his pair of Kings. The flow and sequence do tell that he's on something more than a pair, though.
@@Lemaforthewin Oh I know, it would be an incredibly bad decision to continue past the flop. It's just one of those things where you know you would've gotten all the chips had you stayed in (but of course you wouldn't). One of those, "if only I had known" moments.
Hand 1) 1.6 milllion bet to be called, like obv the river feels bad only beating AT really. Can;t see any air combos except J9. SO its a great fold but theres nothing good about calling in opponents range. If he folds at 1.2 mill its amazing. MIght aswell bet overpot if you go that large

5:31 I'm suprrsed they didnt mention that the guy who folded on the flop would've hit a straight for the best hand.
