Knees deep in horse manure, Weston is thrown into the Rancher life by his dad. He tries to stay positive, until the pair go out to town and he realizes again - no one really knows Antonio had a son.
Weston and his dad, Antonio have always had a distant relationship. Although he spent little time with his father - Weston has faint core memories with his Dad like getting picked up for haircuts, going to the petting zoo and walking the block twice on Spooky Day to get extra candy. It wasn't like he was a bad dad.. he just wasn't there much. Weston has respect for his father, despite the distance. In an attempt to spend quality time with Antonio before life gets busy, he decides to take the advice from his loved ones and spend the summer with Antonio at his Ranch.

I keep thinking Dad stayed away because he got himself in to trouble at some point, maybe spent some time in prison or something (only because I saw you had Basemental in there) and maybe he just didn't feel like he was good enough for his son and so he stayed away, trying to do what was best for him, not realizing how much his son needed him.
I agree because of how upset he was when his son compared being with him to being in prison and his reluctance to make and sell nectar.
I love the ideas flowing here.. I had a gut feeling dad got in a little trouble back in Del Sol 👀
Yup! When there was a comment about “prison”, he was like “you have no idea what prison is like”.
i love how weston looks like a browner version of his dad. like no matter how awkward it is they have the same face, it’s so cute. the ending has me in my feels

I'm going to pretend that all the townies from Windenburg and whatnot are here on vacation. There is a rental in town so it could be true. 😄 It's a lot more scenic than Granite Falls and in my mind it's pretty close to Del Sol and Strangerville.
Just yesterday was saying to myself: " I need some Compton Cowboy" and here we are!!
Mama came and checked in on her baby boy. Maybe she came just to see, and be there if Weston really wanted to go home. 😂😂 This lp is so fun to watch and the story unfolding is awesome.

Now I just love how regardless of how things are between them, they are growing knowing one another. Even the horses are getting better. I hope this becomes a great father son relationship, Nothing wrong with that. Nice, very nice Oshin.
Loved their camping trip to train Endeavor. This is making me actually want to play with the horse ranch content.

This LP is just so wholesome ugh 🤍 I love Antonio, he has his flaws but I can tell he has a good heart. But not him comparing horses to human lmao like I get it but still. I hope as time goes on Antonio and Weston can really have a well needed deep conversation.

Edit: Sorry I checked again and the mod is called Carl's sim spawner and filter tool, I litterally forgot because it's been a while since I opened my game and I don't remember the mods I have specifically😭😂

Love this storyline love the father son are kinda bonding even if it awkward I love wholesome storyline that teach you things also I got quite emotional right after that hay now festival it will take time but I think soon enough he will grow to like it especially build a strong bond with tornado strong enough no money anyone give to buy them he'd shut it down he like "nope sorry they ain't for sale" can't wait for more episodes ❤

I feel like Antonio didn't make the best choices in his younger life and needed to relocate to change his surroundings and stay away from trouble, Weston spending time with his Dad in this environment will help him understand things better about his Dad

I love this story...feels real....I was a single mom of 2 boys and 2 fathers. 6 years between them. Neither of their fathers had any contact with my sons from the time they were 3 and 4 years old. Really sad. They were boys who mostly acted like whatever they didn't care. I knew then and still believe that it hurt their hearts. I used to tell them onn on one ...just drop this into general conversation that just because you don't have your dad in your life doesn't mean you can't be or won't be the best dad ever to your kids if you want any. Or even a great big brother to another boy who doesn't have a dad in his life. You make your choices and can choose to be the best. Your dads actions don't define whi you are or will be. My sons are 41 and 35...(in September they will be). The 41 year old has retired from the US Navy and started a new career. He was married for 15 years and has 3 kids...oldest is 19 and youngis 11 and he has remarried September last year and they wanted to have another child. She wanted to experience having a baby herself and i will say she is amazing with the other 3 kids. My son is and has always been the best dad! He loves his kids more than life itself. He put up with his first wife running around and sleeping with other men because he couldn't imagine not having his children in his life and therefore he just accepted that he has a horrible marriage but for the kids he was willing to swallow his pride and be there for the kids. He knew i was there for him and his decisions no matter what. He thought he had it worked outbwith her and planned on taking the kids which she had agreed to. I was paying for divorce and helping with new place to live as he was still supporting her and paying a mortgage. She lied and changed the agreement at the last minute for the $2600 she was getting a month. At the time still being active military the attorney said they wouldn't give him the kids but as soon as he was out they could go back and at least work on 50/50. The oldest moved in with him as soon as he retired. The other 2 stay a week with him and then her. He didn't go back to court and still pays her child support as though she kept them all the time. He still puts the kids first and their feelings regardless of how he is treated or even how he legally has the right to do. He is a man with integrity and the best dad. I am so proud of who he is. (He's better than I would be.) Now he and new wife are expecting a new baby end of August! He loves being a hands on dad! My youngest son was married in 2019 and they just had their first baby July 3rd. Again, i am AMAZED as I watch the husband he has been and the daddy or he calls himself pappy, so the pappy he is. I love it. Again i am so proud of the dads they have become regardless of the dads they each had.

Antonio is such a mysterious and compelling guy I can't wait to learn more about him. And the way Weston and his dynamic is unfolding is so natural you characterize these sims so well
