- The family switches gear and begins their long journey through waterfowl season by chasing some early season specklebelly geese. Long time friends and clients join them in the peanut fields of West Texas for a textbook morning of goose hunting. Then, the tides turn on Andy Shaver & Josh Stoner when a lack of wind has the team of guides scrambling to make a series of changes to their decoy spread in order to finish the flocks of geese.

I remember when that kind of calling would get them to drop right in out here in California. 10 speck limit, the explosion of popularity and poor duck hunting changed that. Not saying my calling is any better.

It's definitely a difficult bird to kill in CA, but man, if he gets one on the public refuge, it definitely makes you feel like badass ,but I've seen a few groups guys come out with limits of specks and ducks all on the same hunt .
